Sheldon is keeping a secret from Leonard and is about to spill the beans. Instead he says he loves The Transformers and uses them as an analogy as to how things are not always as they seem. Such as a semi truck might be an alien robot.

Huh, they made a reference that wasn't DC or Star Trek-related? Surprised.

I think they don't use TF references as much as references to DC or Marvel superheroes because there isn't anything nerdy about TFs right? They are super, awesome, cool, so what is there to make fun of? :D  :poke

I guess Transformers has finally truly arrived then.

And is it just me or does Sheldon kinda look like Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 3 when he's starting to go emo? Maybe it's the hair.

    "Who am I? I'm Shelder-Man."

I think it's been a pity that Transformers hasn't had more mentions in a show that features nerds as the main characters, even if those mentions might be negative towards the TF franchise. Little things like saying their car is out of energon might've been nice. But then I suppose they'd be more likely to say their warp core has shut down or they forget to recharge their car off their green lantern.

Funny you should say that because there was actually an episode last season where Sheldon started being more naughty and emo because of his new floppy hair :D  I forget the name of the ep but it was very funny and must of been a casual spiderman 3 reference

But does Sheldon Cooper have the toys for G1 Astrotrain, G1 Galvatron, DOTM Sentinel Prime and RID Rail Racer?

I remember when I first watched the show, I thought "Are they ever going to reference Transformers?" I was happy when I saw it :D
