The loose shoulders are a universal issue but an easy fix. I picked up some krazy glue with a brush applicator, removed the ball joints and added on coat to the ball. I let it dry for a few minutes and placed it back in the joint and ta-da! Tighter ball joints. He can hold his hammer all over the place.

    The Cons:

    1. Like everyone else, mine has loose shoulder joints. As also stated, this is a relatively easy fix.

I agree with ya, but I don't know if "fragile" or "brittle" are the words that I would personally use to describe it because he seems pretty stout to me. I would say that he's rather "rattley," as in he makes a lot of noise when you're messing around with him. Like you said, he is kinda hollow and the plastic feels a lot different than some of the other voyagers. This could explain the perception you have that he is fragile. I personally wouldn't worry about it if I were you; he's put together well (aside from the loose shoulders) and I have no qualms about messin' around with him. :)

    The Pros:

    1. He looks great in bot mode and decent in alt-mode. He looks awesome standing on the shelf with his hammer at the ready.

    2. Unlike a lot of the other PRID voyagers, his "mechtech" weapon doesn't suck and is actually pretty cool.

    3. He isn't just a white repaint/redeco of Optimus, of which I am truly happy.

    Indifferent Opinions:

1.His transformation is too easy. Some will think this sucks, while others will love it.

    2. His mechtech weapon doesn't suck, but if you keep it in "hammer mode" infinitely (like I do), you'll either have to allow the batteries to die or just remove them.

Overall, I'm really happy with mine. :)

He feels knock off-ish. His plastic sucks. I like the look and the transformation. The toy itself is pretty cheap feeling.

Just got Powerizer/Voyager Ultra Magnus and I like him despite him being a bit fragile and hollow. With some added accessories, though, and he's beast (need to paint his shoulder missiles red later).

Got the figure today and I love it.

Though I did end up changing the weapon, mainly because I wanted something UM could use both hands with.

Got both Magnus and thundertron during the weekend at the comic shop Forbidden Planet NYC.

Not that hollow, loved the design and its simple transformation. I even liked its weapon. Fun toy

I'm not sure if it's been stated, but this guy looks good sitting next to Grapple, Hot Spot, and Inferno. Well, he looks good sitting next to anyone, but... you know what I mean.

Question: Is his head on a normal ball joint (socket in the head), or reversed like Dreadwing?

The socket is in the torso and the ball is on his neck.

I some complain about the shoulder area, but I love the design.

Allows me to do something like this:

The blue shoulder parts that have the faux doors on tab into the truck cab/backback. I don't know if it's widely known but i've seen alot of video reviews and pics and no one does it.

It's actually an important step, since if you don't lock those swing arms into the cab/back section, the cab just flops around and moving the arms and poses with the shoulders aren't as steady as they could be. I can understand folks not doing it to pose the hands closer together (especially for the hammer), but the overall figure won't stick together as solid.

Hey. I was wondering if anyone who owns Magnus may be able to snap a picture of City Commander holding the Powerizer hammer. If you could, that'd be awesome!

I really like this fig. I've had him about three weeks now. I understand why some don't like him, but it seems that a lot of reviews have spewed nothing but venom on this guy like he's the worst TF toy ever or something. He's not; there are far worse. I know the loose shoulders are a problem, but that's a very easy fix for anyone who collects TF and this certainly isn't the first TF with a couple of loose joints.

Currently, here's my Magnus set-up. :)  (his BFG/Axe is pegged onto his back so he can grab it whenever he needs it) :)

The City Commander Missile Launchers really look good on him in alt mode too. :)

Nice! He's certainly the best voyager Magnus we've ever had.

As good as this guy looks I feel that some sort of railings on his rear end in truck mode would make him look a bit better, like his Fall of Cybertron vehicle mode.
