Apparently it wouldn't work, someone said a while back that the figure barely has enough clearance for its regular head, which is smaller than Generations' Kup's.
He really should have had a deco different than Ironhide. I also spent several minutes trying to open his hood. I keep accidentally pulling off the hood kibble.
I like the look of Kup, but I've got a good solid Kup figure in my collection, and don't need another. I really hope Hasbro doesn't pass-up the oh-so easy repaint as Ironhide. This mold was, after all, meant to be him in the first place. Do you mean mold?
Yeah, it's difficult to see Kup in this figure. It's Ironhide to me, through and through, just in green instead of red. But I still like the figure, the transformation is clever, just not as slick and fluid as a mold like Wheeljack. It's a nicely proportioned bot, the weapons are rather versatile which is nice.
The only reason I could see them not doing it is if Ironhide was being put into the show sometime in season 3 but has an updated design. That might explain too why the last minute change (relatively speaking) from IH to Kup.
Nice pics tcracker.. I found one. It's cool...alt mode IS a bit smaller than should be. Very much a gladiator vibe to him bot mode though. That hood flap is horrible though.
God I must be super unlucky or something, but the paint on mine was coming off really bad I ended up returning it. I hope I find a better one later.
You're welcome ^_^ its actually funny, someone else pointed him out to me, and i had the same reaction. Tag, you're it!
Has anybody else found him to be quite back heavy? He appears to have no heels whatsoever and mine likes to topple backwards. Putting the cannons on fixes it but shouldn't be necessary for him to support his own weight.
Well neat mold but weird that the cyberverse Ironhide mold has less fake parts (shoulder bumpers and chest windshield) and like no obvious gap in the vehicle mode. I like thats its transformation is completely different to the Cyberverse though (Unlike Magnus).
I was thinking it would make a pretty decent Brawn, he looks a little too tough for a Gears to me. Either way, it makes his smaller size a little more tolerable than being a cup.
