Nice pics. Not sure I like the rifle.

The back reminds me of the TFTM Leader/Voyager.

 

It's kind of neat how they think up all of these different ways to transform the same character.

It's not for me, but it looks like a fun gimmicky time for the kids! Thanks for the photos.

 

I could find all sorts of things to bitch about, but I'm a complete and hopeless whore for Prime: Prime and Optimus toys in general so I shall remain quiet and look forward to his release.

 

This is a fig where a couple small changes would have made a WORLD of difference.

As it is it still could be a contender for "which OP do I get because FE costs too much."

 

If it wasn't for the fact that the entire truck cab was on his back, I might have thought of picking this up.

But it's a definite pass now. Thanks for the pictures all the same, though.

 

The back of that alt mode looks ugly as all hell. Ugh.

 

He actually looks pretty cool. Kibbly, for sure, but understandable in light of the gimmick, which itself strikes me as potentially fun. Moreso than most gimmicks we've gotten lately, anyway. Plus, he's got an awesome headsculpt, and the most accurate forearms, hands, legs, and feet of any Prime!Optimus we've gotten yet. Definitely a mixed bag, but one that I wouldn't mind owning. I originally just wanted to get him so I could give his rifle to PRID Voyager Prime, but I'm thinking I may end up enjoying the toy itself more than I thought.

Of course, he's certainly not anything approaching perfect, but I can roll with it.

 

Not bad for a gimmickformer. He'd look better if he had some kind of neck. He looks like he's ducking.

Also this really reminds me how fucking boring his vehicle mode is. I miss the flames so much. At least they were something.

 

And yet the front looks amazing. I don't think I've seen this kind of contrast in a long time...

 

I like him a lot.....hell, even PRID, I thought it was ok. btw, I was a ollector by the time Armada one and Energon came out, thats why I see these rock!

 

Overall it isn't too bad but that backpack...

I'll probably still pick him up as he's only 29.99 and that isn't too bad. The backpack might not be as bad in person.

 

Yea, much like HA Sideswipe, its not like I am gonna display him backward on the shelf. Looks good enough for me. Sure it has flaws on the legs, backpack, etc, but it isn't terrible. Thanks for the pics and the earlier video review.

The rather charitable price for a Leader-sized figure helps me want it.

 

I will probably buy this too.

Shocked that the lower legs are hollow. Had they not been, and had the arms been longer I think it would look better.

Looks decent it's molded in good colors so it doesn't look as cheap as PRiD Optimus.

Wallas if you have PRiD Optimus, how do you like this one in comparison?

 

Sadly this is my first Prime from this series and not sure if I'm looking forward to buying the Powerizer version, FE is my first choice too. However should this change I will show him off with other versions as well.

 

He looks fun, and if I don't get him at full price, I would definitely pick him on sale.

 

This just makes me wish we'd have gotten proper leaders.   There are small things with this that look brilliant, and they just make me imagine how brilliant it could have looked if it was more complex and didn't have the huge gimmick to deal with. Even with a battery pack it could still have been something special.

 

These are my exact thoughts.

The legs are awful in every way, the face looks derpy, and the proportions are off, BUT: the gimmick is awesome, the size is nice, the backpack although larger than the RiD one, is actually less visible from the front, and his chest area is properly painted!
