TF Prime Jazz... Trying to find a use for a mold I kinda dislike...

really wasn't sure if this would work... and even now, I'm STILL not sure if it works, but...
I kinda like Jazz quite a fair bit?... and it irritated me that he wasn't in TF Prime, even as a mold repaint?... so...
    After some mold comparisons...
    Door wings?... check.
Legs that resemble G1 and United Jazz somewhat?... check.
    Car front chest?... check.
    Sporty alt mode?... vaguely?... check.
    ...
and so I settled on FE Bumblebee. /facepalm... not my favourite mold, but I think it turned out... sorta ok?...
headswap with an extra Generations Jazz that I had around, with his gun as well, kept in it's retracted form so it's like a pistol. no storage room in alt mode sadly.
removed the clip bits from inside his chest to let the hood bits sit a bit lower and more compact...
and did some shaving down of the sharp pointy bits at his elbows and his knees to give it less of a Bee feel...
silver spray paint on, with markered on stripes... and some purposely markered on silver on the forearms and thighs so he doesn't look like a solid block of silver.
    ...
GODS I hope they come up with a sportier mold so I can redo this...

The foc head would have been so much better. Good idea though.

hmmm... was considering that, but was a bit worried about the aesthetics of the face fitting in with Prime... was wondering if there was a Jazz with a simpler face than either of them actually... you know of any?...

Decent work there. I always like to see new versions of Jazz. The markers do leave an uneven appearance, but you already knew that.

The simpler head you are looking for might be found in the old Action Master Jazz head. I used it myself on my first Classics Jazz before the official one was released. It's pretty cheap to acquire. I got 2 of them for $8 each.

    Check the finished product http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/209726-finished-10-29-08-classics-action-jazz.html

Take that Bee head, paint it/sculpt it to have a visor, strip the white stripes off jazz and attatch a lightbar and you'll have an Autotrooper :)

I like that the color scheme was based on Kre-O Jazz.

that was the first one I considered, actually!
it is a bit too big, sadly... makes him look slighly bobble headed, and... I'd need to do a lotta putty work. which I've had VERY little luck with...

    Thanx guys. XD

Heh, yeah. XD ... it STILL strikes me as a damn weird idea, but I guess it sorta works...
hoping there'll be a more appropriate mold, or an official eventually...
