    Ok I often find that many here have a much better eye for detail than I do.

    What's the diff between these and the US release? I just can't see it.

    None that I can tell. The color seems a little different on Arcee, but that's it...? They still didn't even paint her forearms. ;_;

    Dunno. but they tweeted that "the pics for Arcee and Cliffjumper are updated to domestic release!".
    I saw CJ with a metalic plastic in some toy mags, but the one in the pic is surely plain... hmm.

    Honestly, not surprised.

    I've noticed as a general rule that if a Takara release happens around the same time as a Hasbro release, there's little-to-no differences (there's always exceptions of course, like movie 1 77 Camaro Bumblebee)

    You'll have to wait until someone gets them in hand. Tak/To uses Hasbro stock photos after all.

    Arcee DOES look a bit shiner but not too much.

    The same goes for Cliffjumper it seems.

    With the minor exception of starscream and the MAJOR exception of Bulkhead theres not much diffrence between Hasbro & Takara with Wave 1.

    Only really on when they're first announcing stuff, usually.

    These are not Hasbro photos. At least, not any I've ever seen.

    The only two figures from this bunch that seem worth the expense of importing are Vehicon and Bulkhead. Vehicon just looks dastardly cool, with the dark purple paintjob, etc., and Bulkhead looks great in the dark army green! I'm sure the Hasbro retail versions will look great also (and certainly cost less), but going the full on import route for Vehicon and Bulkhead might be worth it.

    The first set of pics made the figures look very metallic. These make them look identical to Hasbro's releases.

    On a selfish note, I am thankful cuz the metal finish on CJ looked as sexy as the pain on Alternity CJ. I would not have purchased it but I would have been saddened everytime I woudl have seen a pic of it. lol

    Wasnt there a display at the tokyo motor show with prime items that showed differences from hasbro versions?

    I seem to remember cliffjumper being more 'swirly'?

    You'd think that Takara, a company that's usually good with their attention to detail, would remember to paint her forearms so that they're not solid black.
