What gimmicks does everyone think the figures from Prime will have? I hope something simillar to Generations, as in no gimmicks other than articulation and transforming

... and every toy comes with a 'matrix' that unlocks special 'leadership qualities'.

Maybe they won't have any. Like that crazy Transformers Animated thing that happened once, or that Beast Wars.

Actually TFA's gimmick was that every character (Or at least most of them.) had a signature weapon of some kind.
    Beast wars had flip changers.

Maybe TF-Prime will have "transforming weaponry". Kind of like Buster Prime, or that Battle blades Bumblebee.

    I looooved Mini-cons.

For TF: Prime, no idea. I'd like for Hasbro to focus on accuracy and articulation. That'd be cool.

Or that Classics and wonky Universe 2.0 thing. Also that oh-so zany Robots in Disguise.

(I hope Prime won't have any. If they do, it better be a fun thing like Headmasters or something that wont render the figure into a brick)

Don't all transformers have a signature weapon of some sort? I'm confused by what you mean here.

I don't think they are likely to have any other than maybe some automorph or some transforming weapons like paxtin suggested.

I'd would like the human alliance line to continue. It could be really cool if they sort of incorporated it into the actual line sort of like the original diaclone figures with really small "drivers" and cockpits all across the line. It would also help keep the characters in scale. No way in hell that would happen though.

It was something I read awhile ago in a interview with one of the Takara guys who worked on the TFA line: TakaraTomy Staff Interview - Animated - Transformers News

Yeah, so looking it up again, the whole "Signature Weapon" thing was just one gimmick. There was also "Signature Transformation" so as to add unique personality that was tailor made with that character in mind.

Call me crazy, but I actually think this could work, in theory. It would be kinda like the Cyber Planet Keys, only the gimmicks it would activate would work differently.
What they could do is give each character a different head (a normal and a leader head) or chest (Leaders should have broader and more mature chests, I guess) that switches (automaticly for the heads or manually for the chests) when you insert the matrix key of cyber planet awesomeness.
Of course, I wouldn't like any of this if it isn't executed well. It shouldn't restrict transformation or articulation (like no gimmick should).

I'm thinking we won't see any specific gimmick but ones based around the individual characters. As long as the designs look good and have a bit of personality when they're stood there the rest will be fine.

No electronics or stale combiners (getting seriously tired of combiners). Maybe automorph, since that seems to work well.

I think the gimmick should be nice show accurate designs and articualtion....like animated.

I also like the the individual weapons of the Animated series so I hope to see those...with guns. I like the melee weapons but I prefer my TFs with guns.

Show-accuracy: the best 'gimmick' to me. Animated did that particularly well.

For the new show, who knows what they'll do, seeing how we haven't even seen any pics, save for one. But I hope they keep it simple: good transformation, show accurate, and some cool weapons.

I'd like it to be like in Animated. Gimmicks based off what the character does in the show.

I hope there is no line wide gimmick outside of transformation. I am totally cool with character specific gimmicks.
