Definitely picking this up.

 

The one thing I see when I look at this is a modernized Metroplex minus his black and white color scheme.  

 

Even though that alt mode is supposed to be a mobile base, my brain refuses to acknowledge it as anything but an oversized, folded-up Optimus Prime.

Yeah this is what I figured. For some reason they always forget that larger robots should also be able to move as well as be able to just stand there.

Also, there has GOT to be a better way to do a base mode then just "sit down and hide head"....

PS: The gun DOES look cool though. I love how it comes apart, although I hope it stays together when you want it to.

 

Pretty sweet idea for an exosuit, but I'll be passing on this barring extreme clearance.

No, I think you'll find that "Gregory" suits it better. (I bought my friend's three-year-old daughter a Rescue Bots Optimus Prime for her birthday in an attempt to thwart gender stereotyping. It kinda worked, but given that neither of them know anything about Transformers lore he's now known as Gregory...)

And yeah, my understanding was that Gre- Optimus Maximus was around the same price point as the Ark..?

I snicked at the posts here. You guys have a series of deluxes, voyager, leader, etc that are given the detailed treatment. But Cyberverse is a mom-n-kid friendly pricepoint. Why on earth would they make a mech suit super articulated and hard to transform if they want a 5yo to put his mini super-easy to transform figures inside?

If you want something better then customize a series of joints, endoskeleton, and paint apps on to it. I have this awful vision of you guys walking into Target and picking up Rescut Bots going, "WHAT IS THIS CRAP?! WHO LET THIS HAPPEN?! WHY ISN'T THIS AIRBRUSHED WITH DIECAST PARTS?!"
