'No adult content' ???? are you watching the same thing...They swear, theres sex references etc etc...this is definatly not a kids show, if this was shown in the US it would be on Adult Swim or LAte night Comdey central

I watched it... I want those ~11 minutes back.

 

Oh wow, there was actually a beast wars ref in there; the scanner thing they used to turn their room into transformers is the same thing the Max and Preds used to scan for beast-modes.

And the Optimus guy's helmet has mixed details of Orion Pax and the old G1 box art. Man, these Gainax guys is crazy!

 

The 'Brave' like robot has a similar transformation to Deckard from J-Decker.

 

It's possible but improbable, since the crunchyroll subs have been made directly in collaboration with the writers of the series, who shared detailed instructions on how the names and titles were to be translated.

 

If so, theres still some wierd bits. Like some subtitles seem to appear for a short time and disappear before the character has stopped talking...

Well, did you watch the crunchyroll original or a free rip? Sometimes timing gets botched by the ripping process. The episodes I've watched so far (ie all 7) all had their timing fine on the versions I got.

 

There's been a few comparisons between this and the Simpsons Halloween Transformers parody episode here. The obvious difference is that of the non-fan joking on the flavor-of-the-month, and the heavy duty fan packing in tons of toy and animation references only other fans would recognize. I can appreciate the attention to detail, in that "everything is something". even if a majority of the humor is reference-based. The all-out robot battle reminded me of any of the 'massacre fight' scenes from Superjail. My biggest laugh came from the walking-car-bot changing to the dinosaur.

When the OP said it wasn't adult content, I don't think that was entirely accurate. It may not be "adult content" in the hentai sense, but it's not kiddie fare either.

 

Screw this, I downloaded every episode and watched them all. This series is silly, over the top and ridiculous.

I love it.
