any news on this from sony wonder, etc? haven't heard a peep.
You are better off buying a chinese boxset at this point.
which one is good? there seem to be many on ebay. best price?
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRANSFORMER-G1-...goryZ617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Well this was the one I bought but it was cheaper when I bought it. It is really easy to work, you just press play and that's all Maybe someone else can add some thought before you purchase it. There might be somewhere you can get cheaper.
Well the only thought I can add is that I agree with ILD (IIRC we bought that box set at about the same time). It's an excellent set.
here it is! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=97262 This thread needs to be stickied! Draven did a review of the set
Got myself the slightly older 25 disk Chinese/Hong Kong G1 boxset. I just love it! All episodes AND the G1 movie in it's original cinema state combined into one wooden boxset.
Also got the Armada box, original American voices in Hong Kong boxset. 13 DVD's, 52 episodes.
thanks! wish i could find it for 50!!
what about these?
If you don't want to buy bootlegs, the Australian box set looks good and has some great extras (ie. toy ads).
That's because Sony Wonder doesn't have the rights anymore.
Maybe by the time TF 2 is released we'll see a re-release of the TV series...
QFT. Seems like someone posts a "TF on DVD" query thread every few days here.
Or maybe someone could compile a list of the most frequently asked questions here in the forum with the appropriate answers and then sticky that thread.
But even then I don't think it would cut down on this oft-repeated question. Either people are too lazy to bother searching, or searching doesn't work because you can't search on words with fewer than four letters here:
I find it odd that people here keep pushing the bootleg chinese DVD sets when there are two perfectly good official DVD sets also available online, namely the Metrodome UK set and the Madman Australian set.
So we can't claim we're recommending bootlegs because there's no official set available.
I would definitely buy the UK or Australian version if they played on my US DVD player.
And no I can't go out and buy a region free dvd player because my TV is a DVD player/VHS/TV all in one. So I really can't replace the DVD player.
Could mod your old ps2 into one
But doesn't playing DVDs on a PS2 shorten the life of it?
Doing anything shortens the lifespan of electronic equipment.
I think I'm getting the Madman set for X-mas .
