Been working on a 1/24 scale movie-fied G1 Bumblebee and Cliffjumper for some time now. Finally got Cliffjumper finished. Basically a hybrid of the movie look and CJ's G1 robot and alt modes. Used a 1/24 1978 Porsche 924 Turbo model kit as well as a Bionicle skeleton and bits from Gundam kits, sheet styrene, miliput, and etched brass.

Nice. Reminds me of the early TF ongoing art work.

And here's some size comparison pics with the G1 toy.

    And a few WIP pics:

He stands at just over 7.25 inches, making him about 14.5 feet tall in the real world. Painted with Tamiya Flat Black and Italian Red and detailed with acrylic and enamel paints. The red car parts were finished with future floor polish. The Autobot decal is from reprolabels.

Had a lot of fun working on this one. Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks guys! The head was a real challenge and a lot of fun. Used everything but the kitchen sink on it, I think. Modified Lego, Gundam parts, a piece from a mini Y-wing from an old Star Wars Hoth model kit, the rear view mirrors from the Porsche model, etched brass aircraft detailing bits, as well as parts made using styrene and some milliput sculpted parts.

My goal was to keep the basic shape of the G1 toy. I also wanted to keep him as short as possible. Like the short tough guy, fitting his character. Kinda stocky, like the movie Twins (yuck) were.

    Thanks!

The hands seem a tad big, I admit. But they're probably pretty close to the size of the Twins' hands. I guess I could always add smaller ones in the future. Maybe.

Thanks, JPG! The head and face took about a month to finish (a few minutes here, an hour there).

oh no....I think they look fine. they flow well with the "short guy will kick your ass" theme....I wouldn't change them at all.

This captures the look and feel of Cliffjumper perfectly. Looks just great.
Although the head is very movieverse-like the body isn't at all IMO.
He would pass more as Cliffjumper from the new comics where they blend G1 and movie looks together more.
Either way this is excellent. I can't wait to see the car mode.
Yep, I said car mode instead of alt mode. I'm different and special. :)
