Good solid entry, althougth the real test will be whether then can hold a steady and worthwhile level of sales in the long term.

Cool, it will be interesting to see where they go with this... Up or down. It would be nice if IDW could bring in some inspired new writer, I fear for this series longevity should furman do too much of the writing.

It will almost certainly go down. That's the nature of things. The Dreamwave books dropped like rocks. The question will be whether it eventually levels out and finds a steady audience.

Dont forget that too many covers are being released per issue (even more than the DW days), so thats need to be taken into accoun

More than a couple of covers puts off buyers from trying to complete a set, though -- sure, some people will buy a reading copy, but I don't know more than one or two who are angling to get upwards of half a dozen covers per issue.

#0 wasn't ranked, I think, due to the $0.99 cover price. ~100K has been floated around in reference to it, though no precise figure.

I agree with the Covers enough is Enough thats what stopped me from getting the dreamwave stuff and they only had 2 covers per book I think there at the end

I would certainly agree. Even when DW had me fully hooked, I bought no more than three covers of an issue. And those were #1 issues. I look at it this way, if I buy my favorite cover and the trade paperback, I'm doing my part to support the title. It is nice to be able to choose my favorite art from multiple covers, but it's no longer a "gotta catch 'em all" mentality for me.

If they can't be profitable selling single titles, they shouldn't be publishing comic books. Sorry to say it, but it's the reality of it.

It's good to see a healthy start, and not an obscene one. Hopefully IDW will have more of a slow burn to these titles, and they can manage their business end better than DW. It's not a high bar to set. Hopefully nobody's buying Porsches over there.

That's respectable. Not startling but I guess that puts it around the 60,000 actual sales mark which ain't bad t all. About twice what Dreamwave ended up on and up there with the big boys.

I predict about a 20% drop for issue 2 though, at least. That's the way of things.
