TF in China

    ... Huge. I never knew how big a hero Optimus Prime is over there and the number of fanboys who grew up watching G1(?). Given the rate the Chinese Bo has been growing, and how well TF1 performed there in 2007 (#1 film of the year), ROTF could well grab $50million - unless the government tries to stop it (2009 is the 50th anniversary of modern communist China so a lot of propaganda epics will be released).

    I read and ethnography for an Anthropological unit I was doing last year regarding the changing characteristics of private life under socialism, and it noted how Transformers has really taken off there with the youth

    Nearly all of the TF toys are manufacturing in China, i don't think goverment try to stop it. Considerin the population of china (selling market), i think hasbro should add some chinesee culture to TF3.
