Got my friend to let me borrow all her Japanese G1 Tech Specs. I'll need some time later today.

Also rewatched some of the G1 JP series too. I'll get to my calculator soon...

I'm covering UNKNOWNS from the cartoon first. They're UNKNOWN, giving that not much can be speculated on the actual weight of other transformers... Unless if that person has access... Soon. And if not, we know they'll just fall under the "nondisclosure" section...

    Cartoons
    Gestalts

    Devastator (The Headmasters); Lifted Defensor.

    God Masters
Super Ginrai [w/ human Ginrai, pre-God Ginrai] (Super God Masterforce ); Lifted up and threw King Poseidon to the ground, causing enough force to destroy the limb components.
God Ginrai [w/o Master powers] (Victory); Shouldered an injured Star Saber.
Clouder [w/ human Clouder] (Super God Masterforce); Flew in Eagle mode while King Poseidon grabbed hold of him.

    More soon.

By your own admission I can't use any of those. No way to calculate those.

I am just going to get this out of the way.

Victory Saber survived a supernova (Zone).

Outside of stuff that IS a planet itself (Primus/Unicron).

I can't imagine others short of Dai Atlus and God Ginrai of the "super powered anime INFUSED" G1-JTFs surviving that.

Hey, sorry to resurrect a really old thread, but is this still a pretty definitive list of how much different characters can lift?

It's also funny how inconsistent the ratings are from character to character. I have a copy of the OLD G1 "Transformers Universe" compilation of character biographies. It was printed in 1987 or 1988. It includes bios for most TFs and some other characters that appeared in the series from 1984 through 1986. It's an entertaining read to say the least. It says OP can lift "4000,000" pounds...not sure if they meant 4 million or 4 hundred thousand.

So according to that profile book Optimus is stronger than some of the gestalts.

They don't list lifting strength for most of the gestalts. But, it does say Bruticus can lift 500,000 pounds...so OP is either about as strong or a shitload stronger than him depending on whether OP's correct stat is 400,000 or 4,000,000 pounds. I would guess most gestalts would have similar lifting strengths.

Putting hard numbers on stuff in fiction is always always a recipe for disaster.

It's generally not a good idea to go with any numbers listed for a Transformer's strength, range etc

The numbers seem largely nonsensical and with no thought given to them. Especially when you get to combiner scale and above.

I wound up going with “square it and that’s how many tons they lift”. It gives an approximation anyway.

Obviously the STRength ratings in the Techspecs have to be scaled for the size of the TF.

Yes because other people clearly don’t understand that. Thanks for your contribution.
