TF fandom is amazing, because they'll always be a some who like or hate new mold TF toys & characters.

sometimes fans will surprise me. I didn't think it was possible for any TF fan to hate armada unicron. but some did hate the toy for whatever reason 8+years ago.

such a diverse community we are. with almost completly different taste.

the TF fandom never seems to surprise me.

how some love a character in the fiction. while others loate him.

how some love a certain new mold TF toy. while others hate it.

how some love 1980's G-1/reissues toys. while others purged them from there collection in favor of super poseable updated homages.

while some pride themselves in C-10/AFA toys while others ripp them out of the box asap.

While I can respect that every TF fan is unique & has different taste.

all these fights in threads about hating & liking certain characters, toys, cartoons, movies. can be a bit draining at times.

why can't some accept the golden rule: buy what you like & leave the rest in the store/on-line for others.

trying to get something cancelled because your a completist, have money issues or don't like the toy/character. just seems a bit selfish.

A thread complaining about people complaining usually only leads to more complaining.

Your threads have a very "unique" style to say the least.

    Each to their own.

I thought this'd be a nice thread saying we all have these different opinions but at the end of the day, we all share the common love for Transformers.

It's seems I was partially mistaken.

Wow, it's like every other rant thread rolled into one uber-tirade. Do people actually do that? Try and boycott toys they don't want released?

Someone tried it with PCCs, but they mostly got laughed at and banned.

I saw that one, now that I think of it. It was hilarious.

Anyway, this thread seems kind of redundant. Let's just tidy it up with "To each their own," and call it a day. I doubt any of us collect the exact same way as any one else.

Is this about MP Rodimus again...? :p

Anyway, it would be boring if we all had the same opinions.

Solid thread. I'm not sure what we're supposed to be discussing, but it's sure to bring some great posts.

maybe slightly deviating from the thread, but I want to state this:

I truly believe that it is a fact, that there are good engineered mold (well thought out), and there are bad engineered mold.

The bad molds, maybe due to homage, stubbornness, or just unique taste, still have their own fans. And its OK to like a bad mold! it IS a personal taste. However, I wish fandoms would not defend a bad mold of its poor design.

    For example,

Someone can LOVE mold A, and he/she definitely has the right to personal preference. But if mold A really wasn't really thought out in the designer's mind and appears to be that way, I think that even if you love a mold, you can at least admit that the design engineer wasn't at his optimal state.

I don't mind fandom and varying opinion as long as its not twisting facts to fit their fandom.

For an example, many would agree that Classics Optimus Prime was a well engineered mold. You may not like the character, you may not like how it looks, you may not like a lot of things! due to personal preferences, and that's cool with me. But don't deny the credit of the designer that did it.

Everything is liked by some, disliked by others. It's not special to Transformer toys, but eh, I guess it is still interesting to watch from afar sometimes

Hell the bitching on this site is nothing compared to the bitching that goes on, on NFL/College football teams thread.

Transformers fans can be a passionate lot. Which makes it more fun to read things than if this was some bland boring site where everyone politely likes everything. Or at least only posts bland polite things for fear of offending someone.

Given that Hasbro will always have a limit to their resources it's not odd that fans would go for make what I like instead of making the stuff I don't like.

Attach the right character to an unremarkable or even bad mold, and people will fall in love with it anyway.

    No it wouldn't.

I'm fine with different viewpoints, as long as it doesn't get nasty.

ah, I should clarify. I mean, I think its cool that people defend the figure they love the most. But if its a bad mold, don't say "its a great mold!" as a defense, you can use other things that are true, like "but I really like the character".

I have an asshole. And I'm pretty sure everyone else on TFW has one as well.
