Okay, thanks for the clarification. I hope it's in scale with the MPM Bee, but then it won't be in scale with any of the current leaders lol so many scales to juggle!

 

I was thinking that I wouldn't buy this because of no alt mode until I remembered that such a things doesn't exist even in concept art.

 

Is there any numbers yet for this guy or bonecrusher. What price range would they be in. I'm assuming that they'll be high so it would be smart to start putting cash away

I hope one of these 3rd party companies make a shockwave just like the 2007 game version.

well we did get a shockwave that turns into a boat and optimus prime who turns into a train so why not a movie shockwave that transforms into the helicopter we see here OR do what they planed on doing in the game and make one that transforms into an a10 warthog.

 

I love the look of this mold(and Bonecrusher), but at 11 inches tall it'd be like Godzilla in comparison to my collection, which is almost entirely Deluxes. Would be great to see a 7 inch version in the future.

Screw it. Public challenge to all 3rd parties. Make a box set with your take on the movieverse drones like Swindle, Dropkick, etc. AND the KSI vehicons (STINGER PAGANI TOO YO, and JUNKHEAP), package them as a boxset, and you may have my wallet for as long as I live

 

He was definitely taller than Prime. Compare the size of his optic to Optimus' head.

 

It works if he's portrayed with the Leader Optimus, but I prefer the Battle Blades Voyager. That's the tallest character in my current lineup, so an 11 inch Shockwave would be a behemoth amongst them.

If the prices are agreeable enough, I might just say "Screw scale" and get them anyway. Better to have two badass looking giants, than tiny babby Bonecrusher and "looks like a cardboard cut-out from the side" Shockwave, who both have gorilla arms.

 

Surely the DOTM Voyager Shockwave should work okay? He might be a smidge shorter, but I remember him being fairly substantial?

 

Scale wise he's fine. but I kinda hate the figure, largely because of this



Because of the way he transforms, the robot mode is almost entirely flat, making the toy like an optical illusion that looks terrible at anything other than a straight on forwards angle. The gorilla arms and weird shoulders make it even harder to get him into a convincing pose.



The movie design has a heavy emphasis on curves and rounded shapes, and the voyager figure butchers that for the sake of an alt mode that's a purple brick with a gun on one side of it. Off-topic rant over.

 

I just became aware of this thing and it is so bought! Shockwave was awesome till Prime swooped in and made him look like he was made of glass. Why do the other Autobots even bother showing up for work when Optimus is a one bot army?
I've only just decided to start collecting movie figures due to the Prime and Bee MPMs looking so pretty displayed together and it looks like I've jumped on the bandwagon at just the right time.
The movies for me are little more than a distraction to occupy my eyes while I'm eating if they happen to be on tv but I can't help but enjoy a lot of the designs from the first 3 and they will no doubt make for great display pieces. Especially Shockwave.
The fact he doesn't transform makes me like him even more. He should be nice and sturdy.
