The Autobot team finally discovers the location of the Ark.

I'm conflicted. On the one hand, I think the Ark's location was resolved too easily. On the other hand, I did like that the characters used problem solving as opposed to a Macguffin hunt, which is what the original premise of the show seemed to be suggesting with the whole "Bumblebee's memory chips" thing.

 

Kind of a misleading title since they never actually awaken anyone. I don't feel like anything really happened in this episode, they found the Ark and then it just ends very abruptly.

 

Well it's a better idea to watch them as two back to back and 22 minutes. That way you get more of a conclusion. However, I do like that they are playing with the episodic format, and connecting them with a cliff hanger.

 

Seriously, how the hell do 3 seasoned Autobots and their flying infobot NOT notice a fairly good sized BRIGHT PURPLE Decepti-drone?

They just fought off the Cons not to far away from the Ark's location. They know Shockwave wants to find and destroy the Ark and all aboard. Yet, they don't scan for enemy spies while making their way to the Ark?

Either these 3 are stuck on stupid, or the writing was not well thought out with regards to the characters.

That was my only annoyance with this episode. Well, that and Grimlock's head still looking way too much like Sunstreaker's for my liking.

 

It's more likely that those 3 are stuck on a 10 minute show for little kids that you're nitpicking in the weirdest way possible. You overthink how at no point they got the drone but you somehow talk like real life man-mande spy drones don't have signal disrupting technology to avoid being scanned or showing up on a radar, why wouldn't a sci-fi alien spy drone not have the same? It's bright purple because it's a cartoon and the design needs to be bright and fun and directly link to Shockwave the big purple bad guy, but other than that, there's literally zero reason for the autobots ot have detected it. Shockwave would be a really bad engineer if they could detect it.

 

Just watched episodes 17&18.

Solidly felt mislead by the title. It seemed like a bit of a filler episode.

 

It was alright. We really need an Ok or So-so option.

Trying to figure out how Thundercracker was incompetent enough to get his butt handed to him by Wheatley's obnoxious cousin.

 

Because the plot isn't that good.. but he's fine luckily.
