Well this is a cameo I was not expecting... but given first Maccadam's, now Rack'N Ruin, I am guessing we have someone on board who loves the Marvel UK comics. :)
    Rack'N Ruin.png

Gotta love this version of Shockwave! Good voice too. Great plan to re-write Bee's memories to make him think he is a Decepticon! That is almost Bombshell's levels of mind-manipulation. I was not a fan of his weird mono-eyebrow when I saw it on the toy, but it works wonders to make him emote - similar to the Animated version. It was funny to see him try to fake emotions while masquerading as Windblade, though.

Kidding? This is a very smartly written show that still makes things interesting to children while also engaging older fans.

Let me copy-paste my response to this since I have made it before.

Animation: Its not terrible, but its nowhere near great. RiD did it better. Much better.
Voice-acting: It is literally the worst aspect of the show. The performances feel wooden and like a middle school theater performance, its as if this cast has no previous experience to acting in general.
Dialogue: On par with its terrible voice acting. Sounds like something a middle schooler came up with.
    Action: Lazy and poorly coordinated.
Story: Its the only upside to this show, and definitely beats RiD's generic and unchanging "villain of the week" and "lets re-learn the same morality lessons every week for 3 full seasons" formulas, although it still suffers greatly. A show that's trying to give us these types of stories, like how the war started and such, can't really do it in 10 minute runtime slots. It just can't, otherwise it comes off as rushed. It also would be best told in real time as opposed to via memory, which, mind you, is not even being presented in chronological order.

An example would be the latest episode on Velocitron.
    Lasts about 10 minutes.
Voice acting and dialogue: Generic "dude-talk", and all three characters sound the like the same person.
Story: Felt rushed. Didn't get to really know any of these characters. Could have benefited from being a 22 minute episode, leaves a lot more room. Only thing I took from it was "dude-talk" and Blurr's
death is very rushed and left me not really caring since he hasn't really done much aside from wanting to stay on Velocitron and racing.

    I'd rather watch Transformers: Cybertron.

The voice acting isn't that bad. Nor is the writing. It is very hit and miss some times and some characters seem miscast but the acting is pretty decent despite some characters sounding like entirely different characters... Grimlock/Tracks still bugs me every time he speaks, I'm looking at Grimlock but I hear Tracks. It's more like whoever did the casting this show knew nothing about Transformers and/or never casted anything before and just stuck the actors into random roles. They sound fine just a lot of them feel like they're not suited for the character they're voicing.

Wheeljack seems a bit off too... he's acts more like a stereotypical tough biker dude than the scientist this series has established him to be.

Windblade's VA has the expressive capacity reminiscent of Megan Fox's worst acting moments in ROTF, albeit unlike Windblade Fox still had her moments in that film.
Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Blurr, and Thundercracker all sound like they're voiced by the same guy doing the same voice.
Optimus Prime's VA is a young 20-something year old who does voice impressions (not an opinion, its a fact and he actually started on youtube). The problem is that this actually shows. He literally sounds like a 20 year old trying to imitate Peter Cullen, and so it becomes difficult to take it seriously.

It's hard to take you seriously when you think they all sound like the same guy doing the same voice. None of the characters you mentioned even share a voice actor. Those are literally four different people doing four different voices. All it takes is one look at the cast list to realize you're clearly tone deaf. They don't sound the same to me but honestly if you think they do that's a problem with your hearing not their acting.

As for Optimus... every actor except for David Kaye sounds like they're impersonating Peter Cullen. That's not really an issue unless they're really bad at it. I wouldn't say this guy is the best Optimus Prime ever but he certainly isn't the worst.

So yeah, either you got some serious problems or you're exadgerating. Like I said the acting in this show is a bit off but it's not nearly as bad as you're making it out to be.

Sounds like a fanboy in denial. Hard to take that seriously. I cant help you in that case, but I can direct you to a thread where others point out the same and similar issues.
    Cyberverse a group review.

Gary Chalk did not try to impersonate Cullen either, which is why he gave us a really good Optimus. He and Kaye have been the best non-Cullen Primes while all others have not been as memorable or as well recieved. They tried so hard to immitate when they should have just done their own thing to succeed like David and Gary.

Also, to add to my previous post.

And further adding to that last reply I posted

And here's another person for you to call "tone deaf".

Why didn't you just edit you original reply insdead of making three posts in a row.

Also that wasn't intended as an insult. You likely are tone deaf if four different actors all sound like the same person to you. It's really no different than me being color blind. I can't tell a difference between similar colors, you can't tell a difference between similar voices.

As for being a fan boy in denial, I don't know how admitting the voice acting and writing isn't great makes me a fan boy. No where in any of my posts did I ever claim this was the greatest thing ever. I'm not in denial of anything, I'm simply saying it's no where near as bad as your making it out to be. So if you're not tone deaf then you are greatly exadgerating how bad it is.

Basically, the writing is hit and miss. There have been a couple really good episodes but hell even just look at my poll votes for each episode. That's aired so far. Most of them have a 2/5 rating. I think there was only two episodes that I rated above 3. Read my reviews, most episodes it's negative and even the ones I liked were critisied.

By the way, this episode we're currently discussing has a 1/5 scrap rating and a terrible review so tell me again how I'm a fan boy in denial? I wouldn't have given it such a poor review if I was in denial.

The voice acting again, it's odd... mostly because I think people were randomly put into roles they aren't right for.

This is simply not the worst thing I've ever seen. You want to see some terrible acting and writing as bad as what you claim this is... watch "The Room" this is no where near that level of bad.

    1) Wouldn't let me add more multiquote. Why didnt you directly reply?
    2) Obviously the 3 characters arent 100% identical in voice, but they are so close that they may as well be. They're like 95% identical. They are only different by a slight pitch or two. Theres no vocal diversity.
The entire cast is made up of inexperienced amateurs with no vocal diversity.

I kinda liked this one. The VA is getting a little better with some characters. Bumblebee when he actually talks is far less annoying. Its also getting a little less goofy in its tone.

I liked the scene of false memory Prime dragging his axe against the wall.

Shockwave's va suits him waaay better then Thundercracker's, Soundwave's, Ratchet's and Wheeljack's does. Ratchet especially has a very grating voice.

Okay at this point, humans have got to be extinct.

I was kinda groaning my way through this series, but hey?

    MaCaddam's?
    Deadlock/Drift?
MaCaddam looks a little like Rung(?!?)
    Now Rack-N-Ruin?

Yah got me Hasbro, I'm intrigued.

The story itself is actually quite good. Plus this is the most time we've had animated on Cybertron since Beast Machines. The ROBOTS are the focus of this series not any human sidekick. I like almost every voice except Optimus and Starscrean. Windblade is written great but acted just okay.

I thought it was fine. No masterpiece and not fond of the whole 11 minute episode format but I did love all the TF references they worked into the show and the story for the most part was coherent even with all the constant flashing back. I'm intrigued enough to see what another season might be like.

The story itself is a basic amnesia tale with flashbacks that are just lore callbacks that kids have NO REASON to care for. The acting is terrible, the humor is never clever, the emotional and dramatic stuff all falls flat either because it's done too fast or because the Decepticons are chumps that get defeated in embarrasing ways everytime.

Calling this Quite Good is an insult to everything actualy well made. "We've had Cybertron on screen!! No humans!" is crap nerds care about, but nerds don't really matter, it doesn't magically make the show well written or crafted.

That's a weird comment, "you must be fun at parties", as if someone's opinion on a... cartoon that exists is somehow indicative of how they behave in social situations? Thank god I've never met someone that thinks or works like that personally.

Lore crap is a good term for what Cyberverse is, so I'm glad you coined it. Literally a show written by someone going on Tfwiki and grabbing details but then failing to even remotely turn that into an engaging narrative. And the bottom of the barrel ratings show it.
