Okay, I bought Soundwave around mid May. Never played it a lot since my family was moving. I kept it inside a bag with my other Cybertron figures since my room has no space.

Now that I rearranged my room and found some space for my TF Cybertron figures, I'm getting every figures I have into robot mode, which brings me to Soundwave. I have no problem getting him into robot mode but the head doesn't look right. Did some research and found a pic:

Now how do I get the "short neck?" I followed the instructions but it leaves my with the "long neck."

Its kinda tricky but you have to push down on the "collar" and get it to click into place in the hole.

Ya you have to fiddle with it a bit but the neck does go down.

Thanks. I was afraid at first because the head was a bit loose. I manage to push it down.

Well, time for me to continue getting the rest into robot mode.

First, you need to transform him to long neck but don't connect the arms; then push the neck back and down at the same time. Then it will go down half way. Next, flip the body like you were to transform him so the legs are in the air. Finally with his legs in the air, put your thumb on the top of his head (now the back because his legs are in the air), push it in.
Hope that helps.:)  ;)  ;)

The short answer is that you have to do all that manipulating to the double hinge before you lock the chest down, or you'll just make things more difficult for yourself.

That process sort of reminds me of THS-2. Taking the head out was tricky.

After some experimentation, I've found that that's actually not that hard. Just don't open the back hatch all the way, or else the molding for the hinge gets in the way. Just open it about 60 degrees, and the head swings out freely.
