Does anyone else love the fact that us fans are more pumped about these than we usually are over Hasbro/Takara products?

 

I skipped the City Commander set and still regret it, however the Rodimus upgrade will be mine. Springer is also looking great and depending on the price, I might also pick it up.

You know what would be cool? If someone digibashed the vehicle image of the Rodimus set so it had colors and flames and all that.

 

Wow. Cool interview and a good read. It's interesting to note how much of a hobby this is for these guys... I mean, they aren't even upset or anything about the CJ Kit KO's or all the 'upgrades' being made for City Commander. These guys feel really laid back and that's kind of groovy... wish some of the board members here would catch their attitude towards all these new garage companies.

I think a lot of that stems from the fact, well for me anyways, that Hasbro have turned this year (the 25th Anniversary of Transformers) into what basically amounts to a big advertising campaign for Revenge of the Fallen. Don't get me wrong... I'm not anti-movie or anything, but it makes me kind of sad that the movie seems to be the only thing on Hasbro's mind right now. Animated being massively scaled down (especially when there's so many new characters they could put out that have been introduced this season) and Universe being nixed altogether just kind of sucks... and, yeah, we knew Universe was probably going to go away again until after the movie, but Animated was supposed to run side-by-side with the movie line and appears that it's only going to do that just barely now and it just seems like they should have done more for the 25th Anniversary IMO then what they did.

With all that going down you can't help but get excited over an awesome garage company releasing some pretty exciting upcoming items over the course of the next two years. Especially when FansProject puts out such quality items at such a very reasonable price.

I'm disappointed they STILL aren't showing us what on earth those flaps across the top of the trailer are supposed to be for. WTF? As for the supposed Broadside... if that's who it is, then I'm disappointed that he doesn't have an aircraft carrier alt mode, as that's the coolest part about him, and the part that sets him apart from everyone else.

i just wish they would do a second run of the older stuff as well, i, and at least 2 other people i know missed the releases of the older stuff and regret it constantly. the online markups from ebay are absolutely murder.

 

Some very sweet stuff! Springer looks good...but Rodimus is awesome! Definitely will be mine!

 

I'm just glad dat I didn't sold off my Classics Rodimus awhile back. now at least there's something to look forward to.

 

That is some truly awesome stuff. I'm going to definitely pick up the Protector armour and the all-original 'bots.

New Combiner, Springer and Superion upgrade set... very good news!!!

 

I'll definatly be getting the Protector upgrade set, the rest Im doubtful I'll be able to afford so I may have to pass. Very cool stuff though.

Maybe we should call them Hasbro. They seem to be making the stuff that we all want instead of giving us stuff we don't want.

I am still in awe of the fact that they are doing actual figures instead of upgades to existing ones for Springer and Wreck-Gar (that was a neat suprise). I wonder if they are going to make variations of the Superion parts for Bruticus... and maybe Devistator?

Actually I asked the guys there about that and it's actually a TWO pack where they can drive each other like in the movie ^_^

 

The middle part of the combiner kinda reminds me of SOC Dancougar (which is a mammoth as well).
