Hi peeps, just made up my mind and I decided to do some repainting . Got bored of TFC Astrotrain, the Henkei version was too pricey so I picked up some paint in my work station found these colors : Bosny Light gray Bosny Silver Bosny Clear Gloss Tamiya Matt white Tamiya Flat clear Tamiya Violet Here are new WIP pics :
Your work is looking good! For your photos, I'd like to suggest considering your depth of field. If you notice, the backgrounds are very sharp, and your focal pieces are blurry. Stepping back with your camera and using either your focus and/or your micro setting (if your camera has one) would help tremendously. Especially for a gallery when you finish
Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate feedbacks. seali me - My 2am shift is a killer, but hopefully I'll finish this end of the month superquad - Thanks, honestly I'm not good with digital cameras, how do I make adjustment on a Kodak Easy share ? That I'll need so that I can improve the quality of my photos .
you should be able to point the bracket in your view at the toy, depress your shoot button half-way, then move your camera to the actual angle you want to use, then press it the rest of the way in to snap the picture. That sets the auto-focus on the desired object instead of something unintended (like your background).
Added WIP pics, sorry for the long wait. I'm still testing the paint job on how durable the coating is because the paints may chip.
That's what he should have been from the start. He looks great! I was going to repaint mine to but after getting the henkei I decided to keep him as is. Henkei and yours makes the classics version look like a knock off.
Were I not so lazy I would have done this too, I eventually just caved and got the Henkei one. Living in a 1 bedroom condo, any spray work is pretty much out of the question for me right now.
Is that grey you're using on him? Or something else. Hehe. I'm also doing up astrotrain. Tring to figure out a suitable colour on him.
If you're shooting for cartoon accuracy, Sabsabby, then you'll want a nice medium-dark grey to use. Testors Model Master's Gunship grey is nearly spot-on with the Henkei release.
