I really hope this happens, especially in the advent of the new generation of systems. And I hope Hasbro/Activision gives it to another dev team than the one which created the movie game. The thing is that without a movie release to put pressure on the release date, perhaps we might have a great stylized game with multiplayer and some awesome potential for action.

    Cell-shading for the win.

Although what genre would it fit in, would it be like the two previous TF games?

I would hope for some (multiplayer) free roaming better designed than the movie game.

Why do I always feel like the only person that really doesn't like cell shading?

what they need to do is

What needs to happen with that game:

    1) Include all the characters from the show as playable
    2) A campaign mode for both autobot and decepticon
    3) Custom cybertronian characters! Create your own bot!
    4) Multiplayer Online; faction on faction custom wars! Air, land, sea, and space vehicle forms for a 6 on 6 or 8 on 8 battle!

Characters that I would want to play as:

Ultra Magnus, it would be unlikely but it would rock.
    Prowl (jet boosters yay!)
Prime obviously, his axe and grappling hook would be fun.

all of the decepticons besides Lugnut.

Ultra Magnus and Blitzving would probably be the two I'd want to play as the most.

It definitely has its moments and sometimes is used in the wrong places. If you get a chance, check out the trailer for the Next Gen Tales game.

Sometimes devs use it for the sake of using it (XIII), and sometimes it's used very well (Zone of the Enders 2 FTMFW!). But with the animation techniques used now, they could put together something very nice. But again, they have to have the same care that the guys who made the Armada game. Because those guys really wanted to make something good, and it showed.

Oh yeah the Cell Shading in Zone of the Enders 1 and 2 is exactly what Cell Shading should be. In some places to enhance things. ZOE2 looked AMAZING because of it. I just am not a fan when the WHOLE game is cell shading.

The problem is: It's going to be a CARTOON NETWORK SHOW game.
And most of 'em end up being shit.

Samurai Jack was ok for a 20 bucks game. Definitely flawed, but somewhat entertaining.

As long as there's a free-roam/multi-player mode (also not dependent on being online), has most, if not all characters playable, and is released for a system that I have, or possibly will have, I'll be happy.

When you're a fan of something and love to see more and more of it, "Milking it" is not such a bad term. I want a video game and themes for my 360 and PS3

Team Fortress 2 with a Transformers make over and a crackdown sized map of future detroit, all characters playable but only so many players at a time.

For online play you would need to build up expierience before you can use the more specialized characters otherwise everyone would want to be megatron etc
Computer should choose charcaters in online play otherwise it'd take forever to get a match started but it needs to track who you've played as and how often/recenetly etc in order to avoid "mario kart syndrome", i.e. you don't get the same character too often and everyone gets a chance to be Prime etc

Balancing is key, hasbro and CN have already done a great job of creating lot sof unique characters, game developers need to take this on board.

No power ups besides heath etc, each bot has it's own unique abilities/weapons etc as determined by the fiction. The armada game was good but playing as red alert barely felt any different from playing as prime.

Good offline modes essential, not everyone can or wants to play online every time they turn their box on.

Extra characters/scenarios as downloads as show goes on, maybe release new toys pics first as prizes for online contests or as rewards etc

Lots of random thoughts there, was thinking a lot about this at work before chrimbo but forgot about it before I could make a thread.

Would make a great game if doen right and not just another passable kids game.

^ not sure if I want a tactical shooter
as long as that's just the online multiplayer I'm fine,
but I'd rather have something like Hulk Ultimate Destruction,Spider Man 2 or crackdown for single player. Only with better cinemas and story in general..(co-op like in crackdown would be awesome)

Sorry I should have clarified (was very tired), I didn't mean exactly like TF2, just in the same kind of style and having lots of players all playing different characters that are well balanced thing that TF2 does so well.

The actual game should play like crackdown/hulk UD/the armada game etc

And yes, co-op for big teams, 1 of each faction woudl be great. Either against the computer or online opponets.
