Don't be modest. Looking at mine again, if I were to re-do the bot-mode (rushed it a little) I might still have a chance. Would anybody be interested in a sneak peak of what mine looks like so far (tha alt-mode, as it's better, lol)?

Yeah show a sneak peak. To be honest my motorcycle wheels look like melted donuts and I got lazy on Prowls hands..lol Both are a combination of toy and animation model with some of my own details.

 

I was thinking the same thing, Well time to go back and rework things

 

I might as well. It doesn't really show much of what the whole final product is, imo, though if anybody thinks it does I'll make it smaller, and possibly make it of a different area (don't think anybody will be that honest though, lol). BTW, I got this methond aproved by Optimus himself, so it's alright for the contest.

(took it down for now, just in case Optimus doesn't want us showing anything yet)

Edit: Just did some tweeking to the bot-mode pic, and I might not have to re-do it, though I'll still probably end up doing so, but I'll wait till tommorow afternoon to do that (I should be getting to bed soon, as I need to be up a bit earlier than usual tommorow).

oh man, those would've been niiiiice. I just synthesized the toy reviews with bike mode pics with the really crappy mspaint looking "official art" they put out  

 

I tried working off toy pics, but all that black plastic just sorta melts together in the pictures. great for that sneaky/stealthy look, absolute rubbish for a reference picture.

Can you clarify one thing for me- what do you mean by "watermarked?" I am planning on putting my name and the TF animated logo somewhere in there, but I feel that a giant "DO NOT STEAL" type watermark over the whole image really interferes with the art. I just want to make sure I meet the rules requirements.

I am not familiar on how to do that. Maybe someone else can fill us in?

 

If you have a program like Photoshop.
Create what ever you want to use as a "watermark", place the layer over the pics
and then select your blending options and play with the Opacity slider. There should
be a simaliar option with all Photo editing software. That should do the job you want it too.

Thanks for posting the rules. I've decided to completeley re-do mine (will probably fit in with the contest better). Interesting way to decide who the winner will be. I'm gong to change up my water-mark a bit just for fun, and to make it a bit bigger.

Edit: Even though we have another month to do this, I'm going to get my entry done now while I hae the time (school starts u agian next Monday). I think I've now got a chance (this new bot-mode is a lot better than the old one). I'm going to wait and do the new alt-mode tommorow. I'm thinking about posting the old entry in a new thread, though I'll probably wait for the contest to end.

MR Optimus,thanks for the full rules.I got a quick question,I'm having to draw mine on seperate pieces of paper so I'm gonna have to have more than one image,is that ok?I have his bot mode,vehicle mode,and a close up pice of his chest/head.

 

Why make it bigger? Are we all thinking of a different kind of watermark? Either way, it doesn't sound too vital.
