I would welcome some new Animated Figures, whether they are really creative repaints or even new toys, as long as they scaled with the old figures. Still waiting for that Voyager Thundercracker. A remold of it to slipstream would be cool too.

I've read that he was going to have Elita 1 be part of his Transformers Unanimated idea. That would have been so awesome to see happen.

Heck, I'm in the same boat, and I'd even settle for an overpriced Platinum set.

I would reply in kind, but the site is broken right now. I can't upload any pics.

I mean, I don't get it. Everyone who knows you understands that you absolutely abhor Sakamoto-san. Yet you seem to take it personally when he continues to be involved in the franchise, and when other people (like myself) really love him and his work. There's lots of things in Transformers that people don't like. Beast Wars, Armada, Michael Bay, IDW. Yet it doesn't seem to obsess anyone else in quite the same way Sakamoto-san consumes you.

Why? Not why don't you like him, you've made that VERY clear. But why are you not capable of letting go? You bash him every. single. time. And I don't understand.

It was a scrapped FunPub project. I believe it was intended for Botcon 2015 or 2017, but don't quote me on that. They were constantly throwing around ideas. I've got a folder full of them here somewhere.

Oh, never mind then. "FunPub" was all I needed to hear to lose interest completely.

I wouldn't bash his work that wasn't NSFW. I have discussed this with another poster here. He HAS made pictures that are not "sukebe". However, in this example, he DID include Kiss Players, which has a bad reputation, and the picture itself include allude to that notoriety (like the short skirts, etc). It's more titillation here, but it seems he's stating " look, KISS players? Eh? Wink wink, nudge nudge! Say no more! ", which seems like he's again going through his trolling artistic stage.

However, if he did an illustration of just a Transformer, I'm not going to say " oh, Sikomofo again, is it? ". I would hope I'd encourage such work. That's healthy, right?

lol@ "san". You don't have to use "san" since you're not Japanese and he's not in the room with you.

Anyway, the correct way to refer to a comic book artist is "sensei." It would be "Sakamoto sensei." FYI.

    If you were Japanese.

Speaking Japanese. To other Japanese people. Otherwise, it sounds just a little bit pretentious.

    So anyway....

I like that the animation director of Kill La Kill (Masaru Sakamoto) did some art for this book! That's pretty cool, especially since KLK is one of those crazy anime series that we (wife and I) both enjoyed. His take on Shattered Glass Optimus is sick!

Oh. Well, that's how he was introduced to me when I met him, so that's what I call him. Sorry for being pretentious. :(

Masaru Sakamoto did a TERRIFIC job on that SG Animated Prime... I just love the KLK vibes that the drawing has.

(Slipstream, he worked on KLK you dumb fuck)

Er, no. Referring to someone else is still polite if "San" is used, although it does not have to be. I have never, in all my years in Japanheard "sensei" used for the average artist. I just checked with my Japanese colleague, herself an anime fanatic, and she said that sensei is used for the main artist in that case.

So I saw the image of the Sari Windblade-retool. Looks good. Granted, if the idea was resurrected, I would absolutely not want the Thrilling 30 mold to be used. RiD Windblade would work much better, and though I won't really know how well TR Windblade would work without having it in my hands, that will probably be a better choice than Thrilling 30 as well.
