As promised, a move away from minibot articles!

Here's the article on the European Joustra "Diaclone" Porsche 935, in other words, pre-TF Jazz.

    Truly lovely piece.

Still awaiting what will no doubt be kickass Paul Vromen artwork, but I'll post as soon as that's ready.

Hope you enjoy it, all the best

Awesome! I particularly love the Joustra boxart they used. :D  The comic style gives it a great feeling!

    Great article, as always, Maz!

Man, I think that thing is whiter than my Takara Meister reissue from 2001....

I agree completely, it makes them very unique. Even though some Diaclone and TF artwork is more proprtionally correct and has higher detail, more beefy robot-kind of thing, when you put a regular Diaclone package next to a Joustra package, the Joustra stuff just leaps out at you. Really colourful and lively.

If they were readily available I'd happily just grab empty Joustra boxes! Unfortunately even used Joustra stuff fetches hefty prices, so might as well go all the way and get something I can review fully...

I wish I could! This stuff ain't easy or cheap to come by!

Also these days I've noticed so much more competition for Joustra pieces that it's tremendously difficult to win a piece or be the first to see one with a reasonable BIN price.

Heh, I'm not surprised, this thing had never seen the light of day! The way the joints were giving way, was obvious it was the first time it had been transformed.

I realise that some collectors will be grimacing at the idea of an untouched TF being transformed, especially when Jazz is a very available piece, but I've already had people who OWN this Joustra Porsche telling me it's great I did the article because they've never opened their own one to see what was inside!

Many thanks man, I was beginning to think people were going off them because of the heavy minibot content of the last few articles.

Maz, minibot-oriented or not, your articles rock! Thanks for yet another excellent review of a rare and unique piece.

    Cheers!

Great as always. I apreaciate what you are doing. I loved the minibot articles. Good luck on getting your hands on pices for future articles, I'm sure they are only getting harder to obtain.

I did actually used to own a nice red Microchange Browning, but the pictures I took of it years ago are poor in comparison to what I take now, plus I didn't take many.

I am working on getting another Browning though :)

I too would love to feature some of the gunrobos.

They certainly are, but at the site isn't a 'My Collection' thing, there are so many articles on there about other people's items which I am equally as happy to write about. Of course if it's hard for me to get the pieces, it's hard for them too...

Tim Bannerjee brought round his Mexican Smokescreen for me to feature, and Specimen 17 even sent, SENT, me his MC Blue Bumblebee for review. That was awesome.

I have people like Paul Hitchens (Spacebridge) and my friend Rickie lending me toys for review and comparison all the time as well, which makes a huge difference.
