    Great article as usual.

I didn't realise about the mounds of sand on him, nice little touch

I wasn't overly familiar with that figure so it was a very informative read. Thanks once again for the fantastic work!

As already stated, that faux sand build up is a really solid touch.

I agree completely. It's my friend's Detritus that I photographed all done up as Decepticon. I actually mention in the article that I can only visualise these cars as Autobots. But actually, I'd love to apply one of the obscure faction stickers to him from E-Hobby Overcharge's stickersheet, like the Alpha Trion, Unicron or Quint stickers.

Nifty article again Maz, keep up the good work. I was gonna ask why you don't apply stickers to the items that you review but then I noticed in this article that you did.

Stickers can do wonders for some of these re-issues, like the E-hobby black-hooded Bluestreak that looks plain dull without them.

Love the smileys on these boards as well, so here's some more of them:

    Hah, wassup Dev :)

Actually, can't take credit for this one. That's Paul Hitchens's Detritus with the stickers on, mine still has them on the sheet.

One of the reasons I don't usually apply the stickers is because either they aren't my toys tobegin with or I know they'll be going to a different home after they've been reviewed.

If I was keeping this Detritus, I would sticker it up as an Autobot :)

    Another great article indeed!

This guy has always been my least favorite offering of all the eHobby repaints; now I'm seeing him in a bit of a different light, although I wish the pink hue had been a bit more tan.

The whole reason I bought this guy was because a friend had told me about the goatee and piles of sand, and I figured there wasn't a decent review or gallery anywhere for reference, so why not shed some light?

If Azusa didn't have one for $20 unused in a trashed box at BotCon, I still probably wouldn't have bought it.

But that would have been my loss really.

Hey that was a really great review! I've always passed this item over, myself, but may now just pick it up if I see it on sale.

Detritus looks a lot better out of the package. The weathering and 'sand' effect is also something not explored often on those shiny, new Transformers. Sort of a desert warfare look; very unique.

Maz, excellent review and much needed for that figure. If I didn't have a rigid policy against buying repaints, I would definitely buy him after reading your review. Thanks again.
