Terrorcon Cutthroat - WiP - Update

    01.10.10
So I guess the votes are in for which altmode head to use! I've got it on and I'm happy with it. :)  Need to cover the robot head in altmode.

kibbling aside, this guy is close to done, I probably won't paint until I'm done with the rest. I painted Rippersnapper like an ass, not thinking ahead to the abominus building phase (newb!).
Although he's incomplete, I'm taking a break away from Blot and moving on.
    Hungrrr is next!

    All criticism welcome.

Wow... interesting. That works pretty well!

I say go with the head on the left. It looks less like... um... a robot peacock? :)

I feel like the robot head is just a touch too small. I normally like small-headed TFs, but it feels like the proportions with the CD Hotshot head are just a bit too different.

I don't think you need to resort to parts-forming. You could just attach the monster head to the neck plate area with a hinge, allowing it to fold down over the chest for transformation. Of coruse that makes the cutting that was already done on the T-rex head redundant... just a thought. :)

if i am looking at this right maybe you could keep it from partsforming with a hinge something like this. and if I am wrong about the placement of how the hinge would have to be it could be mounted to pivot at its base and or head if that makes sense

Now this is turning out great...you've got the ball rolling on these Terrorcons!

I would go with the head on the left, it looks a little less "real bird" and more like the original character, but that is my opinion...keep it up!!!

    thank you!

thanks! dont know, im thinking of going with the head on the right. i added the photo im working from and it seems to be more accurate, and i think it wil be moreso after paint. i was hoping for more replies there but its still in the air. the head is a bit small, but i thought it was still okay. the head stays!

i was originally looking at this very idea, the hinge on the back of grimlock was perfect but i used it for the wings :p . anyone know where i can get something like the hinge in your photo?

    Thank you!

If all else fails I would look into getting a junker Grimlock or at least maybe making or getting someone to make one out of styreen for you. I havn't seen them anywhere for sale. maybe someone else would have an idea on this.

    Hmmmm...

For covering the bot mode head you could probably replace the t-rex arms (from grimmy) with doors or something, and use the existing joint.
