It does have a Jurassic Park 2 feel to it. Like when they bring the big guns and the jeep in the second movie to capture the Dinos
"Welcome to paradise."? Bullshit! XD
I didn't even know about this until I saw the preview. Definitely not for me.
this actually looks interesting...
"Hi, I'm Avatar with Dinosaurs, and I'd like to talk to you about a TV series..."
Fox exec: "We need another really cool show that we can cancel after the second season. We already did it with robots, spaceships, secret agents, what do we do next?"
Fox Exec2: "Dinosaurs."
Fox Exec: "Nice. And time travel. If we do it right, the nerdrage when we cancel it next year will be unprecedented"
of all the time periods why would you go back to one with giant dinosaurs????
this looks lame
"well nice to meet you, this is Ferngully, which pretty much told the same story about 20 years ago..."
Isn't this garbage the most expensive show ever made, wooow!
"Welcome to Pandor........er terra nova, what really do I have to say this?" "James might be pissed at me, fuck it, I guess I wont come back as a terminator in avatar 2 then."
Seems kind of arbitrary to set it 85 million years ago... That'd be the Santonian.
Not so many cool famous dinosaurs known from that era. Though I'm sure they'll bend the rules a bit on that one. I think I already see a Carnotaurus in there just at the end of the trailer.
I'll check out the pilot.

Ooooo! Dinosaurs all around folks!
I'm really going to check this when it comes out. I mean, dinosaurs + time travel + avatar-like feel. What more can you ask for ? :-d
Looks like crap.
Go figure, Fox cancels some decent stuff so they can run with this garbage.
And knowing Fox they will keep this one around for years.
A non Avatar-like feel?
From what I'm seeing, this doesn't look much like, or anywhere near as good as Avatar.
They start out in an overpopulated future (not unlike that of Soylent Green), and so they travel to live 85 million years in the past. Then it seems like they're surprised that they run into dinosaurs. What did they expect?
Will only last one season.
Greg the Bunny is still available
Did anyone else catch the premier? I was distinctly underwhelmed. Instead of all the amazing aspects of the premise they could have focused on we get an average family drama with some cool effects. And I can already see that if they ever have a story that needs some tension they will just throw some CG dinos at it...I'm not ready to write it off completely as they could develop some better aspects, but I'm not hopeful at this point. Alphas is still the best new show this year imo.
