Has anyone else noticed a large amount of AFA graded toys or toys that look like they are the original toys sealed. For instance, there were a bunch of old IronHide figures sealed a couple years back from Europe but the auctions would show cases full of G-1 IronHides. Now there seems to be a decent number of Hounds out there. How are collectors to know if they have an original or just a cheap ripoff?

I guess when it comes right down to it, you don't until you receive it. Pictures only show so much and some of the fakes are so good that they're very hard to distinguish from the originals (i.e the Cyclonus and beachcomber KOs that were circulating a while back).

However there have been recent situations where a warehouse was being cleaned out and some old left over cases were found, like the cases of G1 Ultra Magnus' found over in Europe.

In the end it all boils down to research time and patience.
