Recalling my childhood, I outgrew Transformers just as the Pretender line emerged...

...Therefore, I must say Thunderwing sure is one ass-ugly toy (both of them).

Know what's sad? I hit ADD TO CART and was about to go through the process when it hit me that it said "749.99" and not "74.99".

Wayyyy too rich for my blood, thanks. :D

    $749.99?

Thats shocking and frankly, a rip off.

I sold a boxed Thunderwing in much better shape than that on eBay around 3 years ago for roughly £130 which was a bargain for that figure is such good shape.

Anybody thinking about paying that much for what is, in my opinion, a terrible lump of plastic really needs their head examined. Sure the character is good and has played an important part in the history of Transformers, but the toy is pathetic.

I am glad I got rid of it, it was a nice figure to have as a kid, but as a collector with limited space and an eye for quality toys, it had to go. The money went to a much better cause, buying a house with my beautiful girlfriend :)

    Cheers dude!

And yeah, damn. 750?? That's more than some people pay for a car!!!!

I know Furman made him a badass, but I'd rather have a new version than that hunk o' plastic.

Yeah, for 750$ you can probably have someone make a great custom thunderwing.

While we're talking crazy prices, as enormous as it is (three feet long), I've never seen a Super Premium Godzilla sell for $800, and it certainly won't in this economy...

Dont know why its rare, but there is a high demand for it ( which may explain rarity), after Furman turned a toy into one of the most badass transformers in the old marvel comics.

Plus, a lot of the Transformers back then didn't have a huge production run because the line was starting to die out...

Furman rose the value of a toy? craaazy haha i wish i could do that.

Anyways, i'm glad we all agree that the average person would not want to spend over $700 for a toy that isn't so pleasant to stare at

Heh. I'm sure glad I got my Thunderwing back in 1991.

But come on, guys. Thunderwing is a pretty cool toy; eh has a transforming Pretender shell and doesn't afraid of combining with his inner robot to form a super jet.

I'll just make do with the Thunderwing I've already got thanks :thumbs2:

He is a cool Transformer though. One of my favourites from childhood actually. It helped that I got him just as Furman was using him in the old Marvel UK series. Still love the "Rage" story!
