Does anyone know of some pegs or base that actually fits the pegs on turtles I found this old Ice Age fast food piece that fits
@Mirage232 I can say with 100% accuracy NECA has a ton of left over SDCC Turtles. Sign up for NECA Twitter notifications and wait till they announce it .
Judging from the NECA's booth, they had a wall full of them. Obviously, they're still hard to purchase online but follow NECA on Twitter and be aware they list 10-15 mins prior to the official time. Get those F5 buttons ready!
You're talking to a guy that only has a Facebook account because his kids bugged him forever to make one, and it's rarely even used. I have no clue what twitter is even supposed to be.
Guys I have a question, but it is not about modern TMNT, so I apologize if this is not the place for it. A friend of mine called me and said he had his sons childhood TMNT collection which is basically all of the 88-91 figures. They are all in great shape and I need most of them, but as I was checking them out I noticed they had a slimy/oily feel to them. I assume this is to them being housed in an attic and they heated up in the summer? They are not faded and look like close to new with tight limbs, but how do I get the slimy feel off? Does regular hot water and soap do the trick? I just want to be careful and not damage them. Any help is appreciated.
I could be wrong but I think that's either mold release film or the plastics themselves breaking down. They are softer plastic too. Might be able to get the sliminess off by washing in soapy water.
Thanks Shin..I hope the soapy water does the trick. I will keep them in a much cooler place to hopefully prevent any more plastic breakdown(at least not at an accelerated pace). Hopefully the sweating of the plastic is an easily fixed problem.
Heh, the only toy not in an adult specialty store that touts bondage in some fashion. So she has an extra gagged head, does she include the rope to tie her to the chair?
Just received NECA 1/4 Michelangelo. He'll be crammed in with the others on one shelf of detolf case till I figure out where to display them.
Yeah, the soap water trick should work. I had some of the 2000 series turtles becoming sticky (gave them to my kids). I was told that it was because of the plasticizer ( a material that is used to may the figure more flexible) reacting to the heat. I'm not too sure of the older figures. The good news that washing them in soap water worked for me eventually but it took a few washes and a minutes of soaking!
