Can't wait to see Sideburn, and I'm curious about what the membership drive will entail.

New TransformersClub video with sneak preview of Classics Side Burn!

    Hi everyone!

I just saw this was uploaded!

It's a comical little video featuring Megatron advertising the TFCC; and, uncharacteristically, he offers an incentive: a preview of Classics Side Burn! :D

    Here's a link!

YouTube - Mega Spice -- The Transformer Your Fan Could Be Like

I've also attached a Screen-Grab of the preview.

I'm looking forward to Side Burn! :D  He'll be the perfect compliment to a certain 2010 Botcon figure! It's almost poetic, really! :D

I love Sideburn (SPEEDBREAKER) so I will get this figure. BUt I still think the rapaint would have been waay better as G2 Skram. Sideburn's toy is already darn near perfect..he really doesn't need and update.

I wonder if Fansproject will end up making a version of the Protector armor to go with this new version of the Rodimus mold ^^. Probably not though, considering the Shadow Scyther repaint/retool coming out. Either way, it should be a rather promising figure, it's a great mold.

I hope the drive goes well, but its really not a good deal for those of us in the UK (or anywhere else in the world). I joined for a year as I wanted the seacons and thought i might as well, but i wouldn't call it value for money by any stretch. sadly, the information their club magazine provides has usually been documented in some detail elsewhere by the time the mag comes out which renders it a little pointless (perhaps if it was monthly, rather than bi-monthly..?). The exclusives are okay, but very expensive on the whole for a single figure and the freebies are alright (Although I wasn't so struck by Heatwave that I got, so he went to a good home).

I'm also puzzled by doing updates of modern Transformers figures. Sideburn was a superb figure, with plenty of detail and posability, so I'm not sure what the point of producing a 'new' version of him is. Particularly when its likely to be shorn of the rubber and chrome of the original. Ditto recent entries like Botcon Sky Byte, Universe Hotshot, Cheetor and Dinobot.

I personally like the updates of figures from RID... especially considering next year is the 10th anniversary of RID... i'm all for more versions... and its a nice way to incorporate these figures into my display...

and i'm not sure why you're commenting on Cheetor and Dinobot, since FP had nothing to do with them...

So the cheapest membership class is 40 bucks? hmm.... I do want to join but that is what makes me back off.

Its not that 40 bucks is a ton of money or anything but i'm not sure of the benefits. The magazines are ok but its not something I really want. I'd prefer the club to take a more green approach, and email pdfs to its club members. Maybe doing that could reduce the membership fee to 30 bucks?

For me, the decision would be easier if they released images of their 2011 toys sooner. So far, I like sideburn but what will Ramjet and the botcon set look like?
