Took these pictures of my collection to show off my new cabinet and led mulit-colour strip lighting. Still working out a few details with tiding the wiring of the lights and how to hide the colour controller.

All the images are self lit, no flash used   I'm very happy with the results.

I'd be very interested if anyone has any suggestions on how to improve the display or figures that you think I should include. The shelves are arranged by themed criteria rather than strict separation by lines.

Edit 24-1-12: While rooting around old junk in my house I found an album of old photos. Decided to share some interesting pictures from my childhood collection around 25 years ago. Sorry about the image quality, the original photos were taken on a single focus disposable kodak

It's worth pointing out that I still have all the figures except G1 Cosmos (sadly vanished), complete with all weapons. Never gave my parents any grief except the day they made me throw away all the boxes and card backs I had kept undamaged under the bed before leaving for university (grrrr).

Wow, I do like the lighting, and I also love the way you've got them displayed. The different toylines being displayed together actually look GOOD the way you've got them organized.

Looking great man! Love the LED lighting, too. I'm hoping once I start working again I can do something similar with my set up, :)

Thanks for the kind comments :)  Still tweaking the case and the bots.
I asked my daughter (4 years old) which she liked best. Bearing in mind she has never see a TF movie, she went straight for Bumblebee because "it's pretty" followed by Ravage and Barricade. Shiney lights works wonders ;)

You should shoot for getting two of those shelves. Then one will be lit by purple, and the other you can have lit in red. Wouldn't that be neat?

Yeah, after looking at your pics, I am going to go grab my G1 Legends and put them in my display right next to Bruticus and Exgraver.

I love the look you have there and lighting is absolutely essential to a good display and you nailed it.

Thanks for all the kind comments :)

It's my variation on something other posters on this board had already done. The arm is mostly jet mode, with the combiner port turned all the way. One of the bot's legs stays in jet mode and the other folds down to be the forearm. The bot's arms point straight down under the nosecone:

Not completely sold on the lighting, but the arrangement of the figures is excellent. I love displays where the owner has actually thought about the arrangement of the figures, and not just thrown everything they own on to a glass shelf.
