nice too bad its way over priced
I like the shields. Wonder what it would like with Nexus Maximus.
I wanna see pics of this....and Shadow Commander for that matter too, if it's possible.
Gorgeous.. but still a bit overpriced.
I'm digging the awesome packaging. That just screams "Toy from 1987!!!"
....and they turn into gundams....
I'm almost afraid to ask, but how much is it?
It looks REALLY cool to me, and I'm really interested in one. Then again, I know how costly these 3rd party items can get, and I'm guessing it's way outside of my "willingness to pay" range.
I really like how these look and the multiple options for arranging and displaying the pieces...but at $70 plus shipping each (BBTS price), no way. Maybe if they go on clearance or heavy discount (ie - $35 - $40), I'll pick up the Classics Convoy version, but not at the current price.
I would like to know too. Anymore than $30 and it's a no go.
EDIT: $70? Are you kidding me?
Anyway, does this fall under any sort of fiction in the Transformers lore? I mean addons like FansProject's are basically upgrade kits to perfect the figures. Even the DIA and Shadow Commander have their roots in past Super Mode trailers. The Gear of War upgrade kits give them cool guns which have always been a part of Transformers. But this? It's like you tore a Gundam's backpack off and stole his weapons while he was down. The biggest sword I can think of is the Matrix Blade and even that's a little far fetched for this.
That doesn't keep the set from looking freaking awesome though.
Also, why do people like clear figures? That Optimus is ewwwwww.
I got one. Hopefully I can use it for my God Fire Convoy. The handle is short but It should work.
I was thinking the same thing.
Very cool, unfortunetly the thing tis just too damn expensive.
couldn't agree with you more.
This set is a detail upgraded Matrix Blade with extra features.
As Mx-01 said, this is a Matrix Blade. But just making it as a stand alone sword wouldn't be that cool. I remember when CR Brave Max was released, there were repros of the sword being sold for around $60 US. So compare that to this TAW-01 sword, the price is actually good, considering you can break the sword down into different things for Optimus. But compare the price to other 3rd party products, and its not so hot.
I still have the one for Nemesis Prime pre-ordered...
How's the quality? Is it even remotely worth the cost (which is high) or does it feel like it'll break or bend easily?
For $70, you better hope that thing cuts through wood and most metals, and still be able to butter your toast.
Ah. Thanks. I figured if it was anything it would be the Matrix Blade. $70 though is too much.
Would it be hypocritical if I said the Superion Addon is justified at $40? Still I would love to have my DIA Power Commander running around with a sword bigger than himself.
