Well the way I see it. At least we won't be buying these up before we have a decent chance at the single carded concept camaro.

I know that my TFTM Rescue ratchet, Thundercracker, and Nightwatch Prime were suppose to be delivered this week, and they were delayed until the end of October..

The endcap with the 2 pack is supposed to be set up around the time the DVD is coming out, so I wonder if this applies to online orders only or if it will affect stores as well.

Better delayed than canceled in my opinion, though I don't plan to get it anyways, so it doesn't really matter to me :thumb .

Sure glad I canceled my preorder. Looks like they're not going to be of much use anyway.

Anyone else fear what this long of a drought means for the future of Transformers in general? I mean, at year end, are they going to look at the past quarter of the year and go, "Hmm, zero Transformers sales from late July until November. Maybe we shouldn't produce Transformers next year during that time frame."

I hate to be paranoid, but stranger things have happened. And holding off until late November would mean missing most of the Christmas shopping season as far as parents are concerned. As hyped as I was to get the toys after seeing the movie a few times, I've pretty much given up and moved on to other things at this point, and even some of the kids I know that wanted them all are giving up on them.

This is a very troubling trend. We're either going to see the movie figures come out in a huge deluge right when Animated should be taking over shelf-space, or movie figures won't ever be prominent again. Neither option sounds good to me.

Interesting... o_O  This set has already been released in Singapore, though only at small shops to my knowledge (haven't seen it at huge retail outlets yet).

I honestly doubt that will happen. Especially since they currently have Animated slated for at least the first half of the year, if not longer, and then Universe in the fall. Also, they do know why the shortage happened, so I'm thinking that they're more likely to prepare for another potential drought than to purposfully cause one themselves. It's not really a smart buisness practice, lol.

Yeah, I was in Tesco's in Coventry earlier today and they had loads of them. Didn't get one though, as already got both 'Bees individually. They look like US imports too, as they had the 'Exclusively at Target' sticker on them.

Big businesses do dumb things constantly. Which is why I have so little faith in anything that depends on a large conglomeration to come to a rational decision.

Hasbro is well aware of the shortage, they know they don't have the product to keep up with demand. I'd be more worried of them going the other direction and flooding the market anticipating the demand to continue through the repaints of movie figs and Animated, only to end up with a whole lot sitting on the shelves.

Kids and collectors may be frustrated right now, but I think for many of them when they go into the toy aisle and finally see the figures they've been looking for, for so long they'll still buy them. Just my 2 cents, I wouldn't worry until you see the shelves empty through Oct. and Nov.

Realistically, they still wouldn't dump it. Mainly because they know what caused the drought, which was basically the stores not having enough faith in the toy line. It would be different if it was the opposite of what it currently is, and the shelves were backed up with stuff that nobody was buying. Then I can see Hasbro decideing to cut back on production of future lines.

I bet you guys got in the second time it was available because I got my email a while back and you guys ordered on August 11. I didn't even know they put it back up but I ordered mine so I didn't care to buy anymore. Hopefully they actually ship sometime.
