I know there is a feedback thread about him. And I have seen him in the store. But I need to know. Is this guy cool. I don't plan on getting the fans project add-ons. Does he have good playability. 30 bucks ain't much. I want to get him but I can't quite talk myself into him. Is he a pass or a grab? And why?

Totally personal opinion. Some people love him some hate.

No hands or feet really. But lots of fun to play with. I love the Energon combiners. I'd grab it because people will pick it up for the Fansproject kit.

I love mine. There's many different ways to set him up, which gives him more play value. One of the bots is pink and another is brown and yellow. Nothing a can of spray paint can't fix.

Without the costly add-ons, Superion is a so-so Transformer. Some folks here like him a lot, and he does look really cool. But those dumb looking hands and feet just kills it for me.

I have Storm Jet from the Energon line, and he was a big disappointment for me. Can't really say why, he just did not live up to expectations.

    Ebay:
    + Good value at $30
+ A lot of stuff to play with in one box
    + Decent limb figures
+ Fun to experiment with limb configurations (instructions be damned)

    - Silverbolt is floppy, ergo Superion is floppy
    - Silverbolt may have sticky paint
    - Silverbolt may have incorrectly assembled legs (easy fix)

    +/- Energon weapons
    +/- Color scheme

Overall, it's fun enough to play with, but it does have several flaws. At $30 however, you won't regret it.

Get it. It has it's flaws like most toys, but it's a fun toy to play around with.

I want him, but only with the FanProjects expansion (so he has hands and feet). I don't care much for him, but I want to customize him and sell him..

If you don't intend to get FP's Appendage Add-on Kit, then I guess it's a pass. Energon Superion really do not look good with those funky neon hand and feet sticks...

Save that cash and get other more worthly TFs.

Energon/Universe/ROTF Superion goes hand in hand with the Appendage Kit, nuff said.

    On the fence...

I bought him and I really don't know. As the arialbots the planes and robots look nice, however my beef is with Silverbolt, he looks breathtaking in both modes but makes a piss-poor torso. Getting the Superion arms just how you like is a chore because the Silverbolt arms are wobbly.
I like the bots but would have preferred that the individuals suffered to make a better Superion. I felt disappointed, but not entirely regretful when I fist combined mine. He is a good bargain though.

Individual members aren't bad, but gestalt mode was a total buzzkill when I bought mine 3 weeks ago.

Buy it. The Scout molds are excellent, Silverbolt ain't bad and Superion still makes a nice display piece. The price you'll pay for him is less that you'd pay for four Scouts individually, so you can regard Silverbolt and Superion as freebies. Who cares if they're not as good as the limb molds? They're free! :D

Have you noticed how quite a few of the people saying not to buy him don't own him? I think that says a lot.

If you plan on picking up the upgrade, then he's worth picking up.

I got it when it first came out here a month or so ago and I'm not sure if I should have now. The value for money (4 scouts and a Deluxe for £22.49) is undeniable, but Superion is an absolute bitch to pose. The limbs are good as individual 'bots though.

the individual bots have good articulations and look very good in both modes. also silverbolt's knees are bent the wrong way, so you will need to fix it yourself! i did it and made him ten times better.

How to fix your RotF Superion in under 15 minutes

superion looks good but has limited aritculation...you can't get many poses from him... i dislike the clear plastic as it make him look silly.

At first I wasn't convinced to get Superion because the Energon combiner overall looked lousy.

All it took was this thread right here to completely change my mind, especially the configuration on page 2. Who needs that Appendage kit when all you need are some hands that you can get on sale for like $9 shipped at tisinc99.com right now? That sounds a lot better than $45+. It might not look AS good, but it looks pretty damned awesome as is for a much better price.

I don't have him yet, but I WILL pick him up. I'm kinda waiting to see if they'll put him on clearance. Superion is the only Autobot combiner I like, so it's a must.

I'd sell you mine for $20. Take that as an offer or a review, your choice. :)
