Yeah, checked two of my targets here. NOTHING. Completely sold out of many of the TF items and the ones they do have are not on clearance yet.
My target had nothing on sale whatsoever. Is this a regional thing? I checked the Transformer movie deluxe scorponok and it was still regular price, ditto for the basic Star War figures.
As far as regional, i dunno, seems to be all over the place. I'm in Oregon & I've seen it here. It's an actual aisle (or 2) devoted to all the stuff they're selling at clearance. Not just stuff in the regular aisles. Here anyways. I haven't seen any Tf's here, but I found Cobra legions pack, stuff was pretty well ran through by the time I noticed this thread.
Usually, at the end of the year, Target puts up a clearance isle for toys that survived the x-mas buy. So, there's usually like a 15-30% sale. The if nothing is moving much, the % rises. It got to 75% off. Therefore, making new shelf space for the new stuff. Anything that generally sold well will not be on sale. *is sad that death star is gone* What's bad was that I saw one when I was looking for scouts but I thought it was still 15% off only...
I was in a couple of targets the last two days. One barley had anything and couple of them had two full aisles of toys at 75% off. I managed to pick up a Abrams, two humvee's, 4 Cobra legions packs.
No sale at my Target, but they had a crapload of new stuff They did have a few empty aisles, so maybe they already had it.
Yeah, the Target near my house had 2 aisles of toys marked down to 30% and I checked every day for 4 days waiting for the next mark down. I missed one day checking and the very next day that I went they had cleared off the aisles, stuck everything on endcaps @ 75% off. Of course all of the good stuff was already gone too...
It has nothing to do with understanding any concept. I'm well aware of what clearance means. Clearance, sale, in the end it is still not all that different, in the end it still means getting items less than what they originally cost. If it makes you feel better than my target had nothing on clearance.
