Target's version of the game is Robovision and will allow you to get codes to unlock G1 versions of characters. Is this unique to the game itself or is it in all the games but Target's Robovision glasses allow you to see it? I've got the Robovision glasses from their voyager Prime, would those show me the code if I got it at Best Buy?

You could try answering the question and let the mods take care of everything else. But what do I know?

The Robovision feature is a Target exclusive that allows the player to use G1 models while playing the game. I'm not sure whether these player models will be unlockable in other versions of the game.

Did you even read the post past the first sentence?

I think its a good question and one I've wondered about myself. I can't see them re-coding a whole game solely for Target's Robo-Vision feature. Then again, I could be wrong.

Wish I knew the answer to it though.

I'm guessing its not unique to the Target games. Tony Hawk's Project 8 had an exclusive Target version with a code to unlock Travis Barker, the code worked on every game regardless of where it was purchased, same with their Collector's Edition that included an actual Birdhouse Deck and a code to unlock it in game. Viva Pinata has a code to unlock some gear for your pinatas, there was a peel off that was an exclusive to early copies sold at Target but it worked on all games.

Gamefaqs already has the codes up to unlock G1 skins and theres no mention of having to own the robovision packages.

I have the Non target version

I have the non target version, and there is a section in the bonus features for G1 characters, but the package didn't come with any instructions for unlocking them, and I have yet to play through enough to do so... but i'm assuming they're unlockable through gameplay, the others are.

So I'm really curious about the target characters then. How do you unlock them?

    EDIT -
I found the details on unlocking the characters. Its via gameplay... so I'm still not sure what the target robo codes do. : \
