Incidentally, as I was bookmarking the page, I was checking on the K-Mart Minicons, and it looks like the price went up to 24.99... That sucks considering at Botcon they said it would be 19.99.

Just like the Target two-packs were supposed to be 19.99, and now they're 29.99...

I still want 'em, just the same..

I thought $20 was cheap considering you're getting a voyager and a deluxe...but where was the new $29.99 price sited?

 

Someone a few months ago found them in the Target computers and they were listed at 29.99.... I'll go dig for the thread...

 

It's listed as 29.99 in the resources for them here, I checked last night. Not worth it for for me, since I only want one out of either set (Roadbuster and Springer). Might just get Blades for 16 off HTS and paint him green  

 

Like way back, so far as I remember that was the price from the start. For some reason because Ultra Magnus/Skywarp was only $20 people have thought that all Voyager/Deluxes were going to be that way but they haven't.

The point is that it's a $10 fig, a $20 fig and a free comic. That's the point.


Now I feel better about paying $34 Cnd for my Dirge/Roadbuster, even if I got no comic  . These comic packs are really nice and I'm deffinately going after Springer/Ratbat and any others they do.

 

No. The original price listed in the Botcon display was $19.99. A bit hard to see, but still clear. That's a fact.

My wild speculation: $29.99 is the new 'MSRP' and these sets will be 'on sale' for $19.99 as Black Friday items.

 

I can't wait to get the Roadbuster vs. Dirge set. I'd probably get Springer if he was on his own, but I have no interest in Ratbat at all. As for them costing $30, it's not like you're not getting your money's worth or anything. If these figures were to be sold on their own they'd probably cost you a couple of dollars more (because of the little price hike), and you wouldn't get the comic book at all. Roadbuster's paint apps aren't perfect, but he looks good enough for me, and Dirge will make the perfect start for a kitbash of mine  

 

Oh, I really hope that's the case. I don't have a Target near me, and I REALLY don't want have to take a trip into a busy city on Black Friday just for a chance at these (and the Legends 5-packs). I don't care if I have to pay a bit more, so long as it's easier to get them.

 

I really want these figures (specifically, Ratbat & Roadbuster more than anything), and to me it's worth paying 10 bucks extra to NOT have to deal with Black Friday. I already work in retail... so I'd never have a chance, much LESS have to fight crowds... Once stores start getting them, I'm buyin'.

Yeah, me too. I work at Target and I really don't want to hang out after working all night to get ready for Black Friday just to pick these guys up. I'd rather pay the $10 more and get them early and not have to hassel with Black Friday crowds.

Besides... it's not like we're not getting our money's worth by purchasing a $30 set that comes with a Voyager and a Deluxe and what amounts to an essentially free comic. Buying them seperatly might have actually cost a little more if they weren't two-packs because of the recent price hike of a couple bucks per (most places around me besides Wally World and Target have started pricing the deluxes at $10.99 and the voyagers at $21.99... which isn't as bad a hike as people were claiming either).

 

I really don't want to go into any stores on Black Friday either. It's not my preference, just my speculation.

If you're fine paying the $10 extra per set, I'll speculate again that it seems likely you'll be able to order them from Target's website since they have these listings.

Seeing as these are straight repaints (with minimal paint - they really don't look that nice IMO - I'm pretty sure a lot of people are going to be modifying these) with absolutely no retooling, and the GI Joe 2 figure comic packs only retail for only $3 more than ONE GI Joe figure...$30 seems a bit steep.
