What is the code. There is one that is circulating the board but every time I use it the people at Target tell me it is for a discontinued item. That leads me to believe that it is not right.

No, not yet anyways. I haven't been to Target in a while, and chances are that by the time I do get out there, they'll probably already have them out on the pegs. While I haven't used them, I trust the source of them enough that I wouldn't question them.

Is there any chance that the Target employee's you're dealing with are just BS'ing you so they don't have to go to the back to get them?

No, it means that since that store doesn't have it in stock yet, they haven't updated the system for the "new" products. Target's DCPIs are recycled, as there are only 1000 possible combination per aisle, though functionally quite a few less. Example:

    087-06-0807 (TF: Prime Voyagers)

    087 is the toy dept
06 is the action figure aisle
0807 is for the actual item.

So at any given time there are maybe 200 products in aisle #6 of toys, every 5 resets or so they have to re-use items (#s pulled out of my ass here). So last year "0807" might have been star wars lightsabers" that are now discontinued, but until that particular store gets in the new item they won't reset the DCPI in the system.

Cyberverse hasn't been sighted in Target yet, so it makes sense the DCPIs haven't been updated in every store yet.

Prime Cyberverse Legion Wave 1 is shipping under the old DOTM DPCI number, 087-06-2290. My Target got in a case Monday morning, and other Targets nationwide have been getting them since around February 1. No Commander cases yet.

But because they're shipping under the old DPCI, they're going straight to the sales floor because the system shows them as having a shelf location. You won't have to ask an employee unless your store's pegs are full of old DOTM figures.
