Until we see pics, i'm pretty much presuming it's priced as it is because it's a 'cheaper' way to get your hands on the retooled abs than Jetwing Prime with the added 'bonus' of a shield and a new gun.

Since they're turning out $150 Dollar Prime's with a barebones paint job these days, i wouldn't put anything past them.

Alternators failed because the first 40 (exaggeration) waves were just Smokescreen and then when the second figure came out (I think Hound) it was still a half a case of Smokescreen.

The newer figures sold well but at that point no one was really stocking them.

Hasbro killed Alternators, you can't even blame distribution on this one.

What? Really? Mercedes-Benz does make some nice luxury vehicles and tends to be pidgin holed like Cadillac, but AMG is the super car division of MB. The specs of the SLS AMG is in the Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Porsche category. Out side of Mirage, Soundwave is the baddest car on the set.

    Weight 206 kilo / 454.2 lbs
    Construction aluminium block and head
    Displacement 6.208 liter / 378.8 cu in

    Torque 650 Nm / 479 ft lbs @ 4750 rpm
    Red Line 7200 rpm
    BHP/Liter 91 bhp / liter

    Performance figures

Sounds like a super car to me. since it's made in Germany I would call it a "european sports car". Sorry, it's the Petrol head in me. :)

We think it is Mirage because "European Sports(car)" has been his placeholder name for his Speedstars toy car and for his mini stealth force car toy. His Speedstars toy even has "European Sports" underneath the car, in place of the robot's name (probably there due to the whole "Mirage/Dino" naming debacle).

Ferrari refuses to give Hasbro a license so it cannot be the 458 Italia. A Mercedes SLS AMG qualifies as a European Sports Car. Although the Speed Stars Mirage/Dino was named European sports, probably because no one knew the name of the character at the time of production.

And so Hasbro would release Mirage as a generic car similar to the 458 Italia but not one. Instead, they would simply call it a "European Sportscar".

Just like how Sideways wasn't an Audi R8.

As Rogzilla already said, the use of "European Sportscar" would explain a lot considering they can't really make a licensed Ferrari toy.

Also, does it really matter if there is no transforming Dino anywhere near completion? I mean we learned about on HA Soundwave the very same way LONG before he was revealed. That aside, there are tons of instances where dcpi info comes months before the toy is even seen.

It must be HA Sideways! If not, I'll post harder, cuz it needs to be!

    (But, yeah, probably Soundwave)

After getting the toy and closely examined, all parts are made in China. :D
