My problem isn't having a kid in the series, it's having yet another bitchy female. Way to suck the life out of the cartoon guys!

 

I agree, but feel slightly differently. It's not the AMOUNT of kids that's a problem, it's the level of the writing. And Armada's writing was pretty awful. The humans in Infiltration were fairly well wrote I thought, but TF cartoons are almost never as well done as the comics. Hopefully this series will be different, but we'll see

Who says she's going to be bitchy? I think you're just jumping to conclusions... Tara usually voices perky characters (Rikku for instance). Maybe if this was Grey Delisle it'd be a different story

Tara Strong's done a ton of stuff, and I love her work. Nobody's mentioned her role as Bubbles from Powerpuff Girls (don't worry, I doubt she'll use the same voice for Heroes) in addition to Raven from Teen Titans, Rikku of Final Fantasy X and X-2, and others people have mentioned.

Not that kids are a problem, I just think we're all feeling the sting after the lameness of the Armada group.

Anyways, if a Transformers series is going to have humans, one of the cool things that the Japanese do is make those humans "heros" like Kicker and Ginrai.

That way they arent just lame sidekicks but badass fighters.

While I am a fan of Tara's voice work, I'm not keen on the news of yet another kid entering the franchise. I'm not going to condemn the series right off the bat without actually seeing it, but I am going to be wary now. I just hope they can pull this off without giving in to the archetypes that have plagued many of the cartoons in the past.

 

Well, a veteran and talented voice actor certainly gives me a little more faith in this new show, whether or not it has humans. Details are absent enough right now things could still go either way, however.

Let's remember, this is NOT being written by Japanese writers. Forget everything from the last several series. Using that as a basis for this series does little good. I'm just happy to see them bringing in some heavy voice talent.

All I know is that Tara Strong and Venus Terzo need to wrestle in Jell-o
