i'm painting a dcuc figure and i wanted to use enamels for endurance since i've used mr. color paints and they really are great.

now i used tamiya enamel on a hal jordan hair and the damn thing doesn't dry...it's still tacky after 24 hours! is this normal?

It's the plastic of the figure. If it's a rubbery to the touch, that's your problem.
I've had luck painting this type of plastic by sanding it lightly with 320grit & priming it with Tamiya liquid surface primer.

never used tamiya enamels but used testors airbrushed, and it takes up to 72 hours to completely dry to touch, even though they claim 48 hours. maybe tamiya is the same.

I didn't even see the word enamel, I saw Tamiya & just went from there.
So take my advice based off that.
