Any movie he leads in automatically sucks. Something where he is the jackass on the side, like The Producers or Old School, is worlds better by comparison. He's no Jim Carrey, more like the next Rob Schneider.

Wow... shit, I thought it looked funny.

I know lots of people who are WAY into Nascar (including my oldest son) and it looks like a great parody.

I wouldn't pay to see it in the theater, but I will rent it or maybe buy it on DVD.

I personally think Will Ferrel is great. I think he really shined in his days with SNL, though. Anyone who has seen SNL's Best of Will Ferrel would probably agree he was funny as hell in sketch comedy. But that doesn't always transfer to the big screen...
I'm keeping an open mind. I want to see it, but I can own it for less than the cost of admission and if I don't like it, I can always trade it in or sell it back to Game Stop.

and if RW thinks it's funny, them I'm sold :lol

I saw it earlier today. One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. Will's best movie. Gary Cole and the Ricky's kids were great too.

I saw the previews for the movie and don't like it. In fact, I am not a Will Farrel fan and don't find any past movies funny at all. The only time I'd watch this movie is if my family forces me to watch it along with them.

OMG that movie was hilarious. I didn't think it would have been that good... I didn't think any of his other films where he stared were that good, but this film is hilarious.

I saw it with my girlfriend on Friday and we both laughed our butts off and she was only luke warm about seeing the film.

Can't say I understand the appeal of either Will Ferrell (has he ever done anything worth watching?) or NASCAR, so I'll definitely pass on seeing this. With any luck, it'll bomb quickly so I can finally watch TV without having to see ads for it every commercial break.

:lol  Thanks for the vote of confidence...

But yeah, I can understand if people don't want to pay $9 to see this movie in the theater... I did because I like Will Ferrell... I mean c'mon, how can you hate the Cowbell Guy???

It is definitely worth a rental if you don't feel like spending the $9 ticket...

See I have seen him on SNL and I didn't think he was funny at all there either, in fact all he did was annoy me. Actually that was when I stopped watching SNL.

I'd say the poor skit writing did it for me... Couldn't stand Jimmy Fallon... And before him, I couldn't stand Jim Breuer... Chris Kattan was annoying too...

I thought this movie was pretty funny but with people its really a mixed bag. I have friends that have very similar tastes in humor and they hated it.

Again, people actually WANT to see this movie?

Sorry, Snakes on a Plane and Ricky Bobby both look vomit inducing.

When I first heard of "Snakes on a Plane", I was all, "LOL! Wow, what a hilarious idea!".

Then I found out it wasn't a comedy, and... yeah. Have no desire to see it now.

On topic, Talladega Nights looks like it could be funny. I'm in the "not in theatres, but maybe PPV" crowd.

Saw the ad for it a few days. I'll wait for it when it hits DVD.

    (and Anchorman rocked :D  )
