Bumblebee can't talk regular but Lazerbeak can? What kind of shiznit was that? Why not a talking Ravage? I didn't know Lazerbeak was a triple changer. How come Sam wasn't all scratched up from fighting with Lazerbeak? If a human gets into a fight with a Cybertronian vulture the human will get F@#$'d up. Cuts, scratches, eyes gouged..something...death. Lazerbeak should've just eaten Sam (Spike) or somebody. It would have been cool to hear Soundwave say "Lazerbeak, eject. Operation: assimilation" I'm just saying... Glad to see Lazerbeak on the big screen but talking?? C'mon Son!! Getthefuckouttaherewitdatbullshit!!

Except Laserbeak being able to talk made him fantastically creepy, and the character wouldn't have have anywhere NEAR as much of an impact without a voice. WITH a voice, he was a total scene stealer and one of the best things about the film.

    "Is your daddy home...?

"My superiors need me ta... "suicide" ya."

Also, Laserbeak has been able to talk since 1984.

First of all, he isn't a triple changer. He's more like a quintuple changer.

Also, this isn't G1 anymore, SON!

For such a huge Laserbeak, fan, you didn't even spell his name right. :lol

Laserbeak was one of the best parts of the movie. Was actually a "robot in disguise" and hinted at the potential of what the movies could have been IMO.

You must have missed the part where these Transformers can scan and transform into just about any other machine with similar mass.

Laserbeak stole quite a few scenes, and I loved him for it.

Yeah, most people overlooked that Soundwave's minions could talk in the comics.

Laserbeak was awesome. Maybe he was a cybertronian parrot? Parrots can talk.

Laserbeak was quite possibly the best part of the movie. Creepy as hell.

I'm G1 as can be, but the fact he didn't turn into a cassette and his talking didn't bother me at all.

    Laserbeak FTW.

Even though I was surpised Laserbeak could talk, I thought it was really cool.
Hopefully the will make a more accurate toy of him.

I thought his scene with that family may have been the most awkward tonal shift I've seen in awhile. Especially with all of those dramatic black cuts.

    Laserbeak was awesome.
I was a bit surprised he could talk but that made him even creepier.

Laserbeak was one creepy son of a bitch, stole quite a few of the movie for himself.

"Is your daddy home....?" creeped the shit out of me, I won't deny.

    His voice is awesome.

As an infiltration drone/soldier/unit he has to be able to talk to what humans he's working with, so it makes sense.

His voice was suitably creepy, it worked for the context of the film. As others have said, he'd not be nearly so effective if he'd stayed silent all the time.
