Any good graphic novels? Or collected comics? Like I wanna get into a good series but I wanna start right. Brightest Day/ Blackest Night idk where to start. Civil war same thing. I really wanna read something in the ulimates line . I picked up Ultimate Thor today and it was good, so I thought I'd read The Ulimates

I flipped through Haunt but it reminded me of Spawn a little too much.

I'd suggest Chew and Invincible from Image.

In fact, here's a list of TPBs in my collection:

    Scott Pilgrim
    Runaways
    Sin City
    Rex Mundi
    Chew
    Hack/Slash
    Invincible
    Powers
    The Walking Dead
    100 Bullets
    Air
    Demo
    DMZ
    The Exterminators
    Fables
    Greek Street
    House of Mystery
    Jack of Fables
    The Losers
    Sweet Tooth
    Transmetropolitan
    Unknown Soldier
    The Unwritten
    Y: The Last Man
    Ex Machina

The only Borders stores near me closed a few months ago and, at the time, I picked up several volumes of The Boys, a couple of Marvel Zombies trades and some random items that I can't remember right now. Most of the good graphic novels went fairly quickly at the locations I visited, but the manga hung around forever.

As for good series to pick up in trade, I'd recommend:

    Walking Dead
    Y The Last Man
    The Sandman
Marvel Zombies 1, 2 and Return
    The Boys
    Preacher
    Watchmen

If you're interested in the Blackest Night stuff, the essential trade/hardcover is the main Blackest Night one; the one just titled 'Blackest Night'. The Blackest Night: Green Lantern Corps and Blackest Night: Green Lantern collections are also pretty good; the former only ties in loosely with the main Blackest Night miniseries, the latter doesn't make much sense without reading the main miniseries. The other Blackest Night collections range from mediocre to bad.

A couple of ones on Razerwire's list are on my 'to read' list (Transmetropolitan, 100 Bullets, Invincible, Hack/Slash), but I haven't had a chance to read them yet. I wasn't thrilled with Fables or Ex Machina, though; only made it through 4 volumes of the former and 1 of the latter.
