Do all the American ones sound that way? My brother thought the Onslaughts electronics were defective, and that's why he's held off buying one so far.

I gotta admit, Universe Onslaught has (possibly) the worst use of electronics in a TF ever.

Very interesting. Well another win for quality control. (They needed a win after the Thundercracker missle launcher tolerancing error)

    USA-non broken edition.

I always thought hitting the button was how to activate Onslaught's car alarm. :D  Yeah, it's messed up...

Yes. Welcome your brother to... how many months ago since his release? The last half of 2008 is blurring together.

Although the colors were different, I was nowhere near convinced enough to get the USA Edition Onslaught. And then we get this. Gah!

Does anyone know if the piece behind the leg connects correctly, or does it still not connect and stay like the Hasbro version doesn't.

I am not a big fan of electronics in Transformers... mainly due my G1 Galvatron being eaten from the inside by old batteries :(

But it is good to see that quality control is actually working. I may have to pick up the henkei version of Onslaught after seeing this.

So basically the difference is that the Japanese edition allows you to hold the button down for a continuous repetition of the "woop" sound?

I'm not all that big on sound gimmicks anyway, but that kind of sucks. I mean the main thing that bugs me is that you can only make is eyes glow for 1 second.

Weird that the continuous sound works for the machine gun noises, but not the siren. Is there any way to fix this?

:lolol  Wish all TFs were non-broken editions. Looking around shops today, the quality control is fucking grim.

My Japanese one locks in perfectly. I can't say the same for the Hasbro one.
