So is Henkei Smokescreen the 1st ever mass release TakTom repaint?

So...Smokescreen isn't going to be the lighter blue color we saw of him earlier this year?

Wasn't Henkei Streak a massrelease repaint too? Or rather, slight remold.

Prowl had a light bar, whereas Silverstreak and Smokescreen both lack any sort of roof adornment. Likewise, the only mold difference between Sideswipe and Red Alert is the light bar.

Then again, there are the non-conehead Seekers.

Which, again, aren't mass release. ;)

Takara did feature a lot of redecos in older lines, though. The recent Binaltech Bluestreak and Optimus Prime come to mind (Argent Meister too, although he used mix-matched parts from two previous releases of the basic mold).

Speaking of the lightbar I wish Red Alert & Ratchet had used something closer to Prowls.

Hopefully that if Hasbro ever releases a Red Alert it wont turn out better than the Henkei one. I dont wanna regret buying this one, but either way these two are must buys.

Yes but at the time, Bluestreak was a remold of Prowl, making it a "new mold". Smokescreen is the first just repaint in Henkei

All in all....it's nice that they even though these are repaints of molds already released in Henkei that they will be released normally.

The lack of Universe/Classics figures here in the states is making my urge to get Henkei figures much more powerful....

Alert is a big reason for that.

Man I'm glad I pre-ordered Alert. He seems to be sold out on a lot of online sites. If anyone can find a site that's still got a pre-order up let me know cuz I want a second one for a WJ repaint
