I think the only 1 besides grimlock that should be wearing a crown is TAKARA. All 3 of these MP's are worth every penny. Sorry FT-02, but you just got delt....

 

Man, those cassettes are some magical engineering, Laserbeak inparticular...

Sideswipe looks more awesome every time I see new pics! Shame he looks so short next to MP Starscream there (sorry scale-chart nuts but the Bots were never that short next to the seekers on screen).

 

Any chance that there is video footage of this presentation?

 

Mhm, I'm gonna hold off for the Amazon Japan edition of MP-13.   That is, if the recent news about the energon cubes is accurate.

Wait didn't the original G1 Soundwave toy had the weapons also acting as batteries? Maybe the backpack picture is depicting this....

 

I haven't been buying much lately, but Soundwave will definitely be a buy. Maybe Sideswipe too, we'll see.

I love these MP's. Next year I hope they are for sale. The detail on Soundwave is amazing.

Love it love it love it... though... hope that Jazz will be the next MP. I'm a big Jazz fanatic.

 

So, do we know if the regular release comes with ANY energon cubes? Or is that attachment definitely exclusive to the amazon.jp release?

 

That's a lot of awesome on a small table. Soundwave is now a must-buy, along with Sideswipe.

Takara have really outdone themselves here, and the thought of official tape cassette Rumble and Frenzy make me very happy. No need to track down third party or Universe versions now, the MP ones are perfect.

 

I read the energon cube version is exclusive to amazon.jp.


But they don't ship outside of Japan. So i guess third party unlicensed will still have a place. Or Hasbro will add it to increase the price as TRU exclusive.

Wow, these are looking fantastic. Shame they're so expensive or i would have them all! I only have two Masterpiece Transformers (So far) but i had to get Sideswipe so that's on pre-order!  

 

Damn, Sideswipe is small.
Still going to be a definite buy, but there's no way I can display with MP9, 10 or 13.
If it was Bumblebee/Cliffjumper or any other minibot it would be cool, but Sideswipe is just too damn small.

 

Soundwave is the just size I wanted him to be.

...and big enough, with enough accessories, to justify the price.

 

Can't wait to see the first pic of Sideswipe pulling the 'jet judo' pose atop a MP-11 - looks about the right size for it!  

(Yeah, I know that was Streaker, but until we get a Masterpiece of him...  )
