Oh, I know. Beast Wars is what brought me back to loving TFs, G1 was too one dimensional for me as a kid. Good, but clearly meant I only to sell toys. Beast Wars was something else, something grand! Somebody who knows, talk for a minute about the process of upscaling/downscaling a mold. Doing it right, I don't think it's as simple as it may sound. I'm thinking about Thrustor and Hardhead, the possible Dinobot retools, and wondering if Takara is engineering Dinobot in order to make a future downscaling of the mold easier, as I believe those two characters were drawn smaller than Dinobot. What are people thinking about this? Is it even on Takara's mind right now?

No, chances are Dinobot here is gonna have some small hinges and what not. Downscaling a mould like that would not be wise or worth trying. I highly doubt they're thinking about those two while designing him.

 

Speaking of upscaling, why has there never been an upscaled original Dinobot KO? With how much that mold has been used over the years, you'd think some company would have done so already.

 

Somehow I think Takara is focusing on releasing the Maximals first and then the Predacons. I already predict the first Predacon we will see is Waspinator.

 

Someone made a really AWESOME Dinobot out of AOE Grimlock, I'm surprised no KO company did that with the mould. Ditch some of the stupid spikes and what have you and streamline his look a bit more. Add in a dinobot head and paint apps and he could be really awesome.

 

Why would they choose him, Rattrap or Rhinox when, right now, they have perfectly serviceable figures out that are kind of like mini MPs? I think next will be Megatron, due to his history and being a fan favorite too.

Also, I'm ptretty sure the "first" Predacon we'll see will be Dinobot, with his badge being flippable.

 

True. Just a feeling I have, because the first 3 MP Beast Wars are Maximals. I'm basically in no hurry for Rattrap because he is my least favorite character and I can just go with Generations Deluxe Rattrap for MP Dinobot for the time being.

 

I really hope they don't add a flippable faction symbol gimmick. He never had one to begin with.
